Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Ontario Division $75,000 over two months toward equipment and accessibility costs in the five-year redevelopment of Lake Joseph Centre, in order to ensure that children and adults with disabilities can continue to enjoy the recreational facility.

Community Legal Education Ontario $90,900 over one year to hold a conference bringing together legal clinic staff and volunteers with people who provide social services outside the legal system to discuss building accessible responsive support systems for low-income groups.
Compagnie Vox Théâtre $50,000 over nine months to produce a play entitled Pinocchio and tour it in Northwestern, Northeastern and Southwestern Ontario from November 2002 to April 2003.
Conservation Council of Ontario, The $18,700 over three months to survey 200 conservation organizations and establish an action plan that will meet the priorities of existing membership and the broader environmental community.

GirlSpoken: Creative Voices for Change $155,400 over two years for a community-base collaborative project on adolescent girls’ self-esteem that will deliver workshops in five Ontario communities, publish a book, create a website and hold a province-wide conference for service providers.
Green Teacher $172,900 over three years to publish and distribute three age-specific books on environmental learning strategies that can be used by educators to stimulate young people to learn more about nature.
Gymnastics Ontario $282,900 over two years to implement an ISO 9001 management system, upgrade the technology infrastructure, enhance the website, and complete various online projects.
Hamilton 2003 Cycling Championships $1,250,000 over 10 months to develop and implement Festival 2003, the cultural and artistic component of the 2003 Hamilton World Cycling Championships. Funding will support recruitment and training of volunteers.
Hamilton-Halton Construction Association $20,000 over one year to create a Web site that offers an illustrated guide to the terminology and historical context of Ontario buildings.
Historica Foundation of Canada $200,000 over 16 months for Phase I of a program to increase student participation in the Heritage Fairs program.
Hospice Association of Ontario $140,000 over 30 months to develop a financial sustainability strategy for the Hospice Association of Ontario by expanding their capacity to deliver palliative care training to the staff of Ontario retirement homes and long-term care facilities.
Jeunesses Musicales of Ontario $22,000 over one year to facilitate a strategic planning process with the Board of Directors for this organization that brings music to Ontario’s youth and helps young emerging artists start their careers.
Leading Tone Arts Productions $31,500 over one year to produce a provincial tour of two shows entitled Glove Forest and Arising Phoenix that inspire audiences to protect the environment.
Lifetime Circles $15,800 over one year to consult 100 families from across Ontario and develop a strategic plan for a new provincial organization that will help local family networks implement support circles for individuals with disabilities.

The Metis Nation of Ontario Secretariat $250,500 over 18 months to develop a Metis conflict resolution curriculum in collaboration with the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution and to train community members to both practice and train others in the techniques.
Mood Disorders Association of Ontario $313,300 over three years to improve services to existing peer-support groups, establish new groups across the province, increase awareness within ethno-cultural communities, and reduce the stigma associated with mood disorders.
Mural Routes Inc. $184,500 over three years to increase the quality and quantity of community murals that will increase public involvement in the creative process and provide economic opportunities to Ontario communities.
National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation $100,000 over one year to support the production of a video of past and current winners of the National Aboriginal Achievement Award for use in the award ceremony, televisions specials and in Aboriginal schools in Ontario.
Nishnawbe Aski Nation $499,500 over three years to increase First Nations understanding of forestry and mining issues, and to enable their participation in forest management, land use planning, mineral exploration and economic development activities.
North Hastings Community Integration Association $150,000 over two years to stage a province-wide tour of the children's play 'How to Hug a Porcupine', which addresses the problem of bullying amongst youth, and to produce a musical CD and a children's story book for distribution throughout Ontario schools.
Ontario Association of Art Galleries $173,500 over three years to increase operational capacity in order to meet the training and resource needs of art galleries across Ontario.
Ontario Association of Crime Stoppers, The $24,000 over six months to purchase and install tip-management software in 40 Crime Stopper program locations across Ontario to standardize information processing, improve information exchange and speed responses to the communities they serve.
Ontario Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences, Inc. $354,300 over four years to increase awareness of, and voluntary compliance with, safety standards by implementing a web-based forum of experts to monitor and revise standards when necessary.
Ontario Association of the Deaf $290,800 over three years to conduct a series of leadership workshops for the deaf community, therefore increasing civic participation of deaf persons and the effectiveness of the organizations serving this community.
Ontario Brain Injury Association $360,000 over two years to increase the support and information available to Ontarians living with the effects of Acquired Brain Injury, and their families, by introducing community-level association memberships and strengthening the structure and capacity of the association.
Ontario Community Council on Impaired Driving $25,000 over one year to ensure continued success and improvement in the fight against impaired driving by supporting the Arrive Alive Bottle Drive.
Ontario Co-operative Association $48,600 over six months to produce a print and web-based map of Ontario cooperatives and credit unions, in order to create greater awareness of, and access to, the sector, and to encourage network building throughout the sector.
Ontario Land Trust Alliance Inc. $22,200 over ten months to build partnerships and increase the knowledge and skills of land trust volunteers at three regional workshops and an annual gathering.
Ontario March of Dimes $200,000 over three years to develop a Stroke Recovery Network, incorporating chapters of the Stroke Recovery Association of Ontario to achieve greater reach in providing peer support to stroke victims.
Ontario Roadrunners Association $86,000 over three years to promote the organisation's race accreditation process to race promoters, municipal officials and others.
Ontario Sailing Association $161,200 over four years to increase sail training opportunities and improve the quality of sailing instruction in Ontario camps by offering the Safe Sailing in Camps program to staff and campers.
Ontario Senior Games Association $25,000 over nine months to assess needs and develop a strategic plan to improve outreach to uninvolved seniors, address leadership turnover and increase support to regional associations.
The Ontario Society of Artists $20,000 over 10 months to support the production of informative material that will accompany an exhibition entitled “Water” to be displayed by galleries across Ontario. This will promote visual arts and contribute to environmental awareness.
Ontario Speed Skating Association $282,500 over four years to implement an outreach program to increase the number of community-based clubs and participants, and to purchase necessary equipment for training and competition.
Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving $25,000 over one year to make Ontario’s roads safer by developing the leadership skills of its youth members across the province, recruiting new volunteers, and strengthening communications.

Ontario Woodlot Association $23,900 over one year to promote sustainable forestry practices to private woodlot owners by providing an online directory of woodlot service providers and posting information on best-management practises.
Osteoporosis Society of Canada $204,800 over two years to establish three new chapters – in Waterloo Region, Sudbury, and Chatham – and to recruit and train about 400 volunteers to strengthen the Society's capacity to assist Ontarians in preventing and/or managing osteoporosis.

Wildlife Preservation Trust Canada $235,500 over three years to build capacity and to develop a model for community-based recovery programs in Ontario. Recovery efforts will focus on the Eastern Loggerhead Shrike, an endangered species.
