$25,000 over one year to help update the septic system for the Village of Maynooth’s community hall, which is used for many community activities and is a popular meeting place.

$115,500 over two years to establish a post-rehab physical conditioning centre which will teach hundreds of participants how to live a healthy lifestyle.

Brockville Community Choir
$15,000 over three years to support the costs of a professional music director and accompanist. This will allow for additional concert presentations, encouragement of local musicians and increased community access to isolated residents.

$60,000 over two years to develop and implement a business plan to build an endowment fund to be used for the growth and benefit of volunteer organizations and activities in the Brockville area.

$19,500 over six months to support start up costs for safety and game equipment required to develop a junior lacrosse league and foster long term participation among area residents.

Camp Outlook
$11,300 over three months to help purchase canoes and camping equipment to enable more than one hundred at-risk youth to take part in a summer canoe camping program.

$50,000 over two years to enable the Red Cross to educate elementary students in the area about injury prevention and emergency response through its PeopleSavers program.

$7,000 over two years to develop and distribute a free Caregiver Guide to family members of cancer patients who are being cared for at home in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.

$16,500 over one month to support replacement of one of their two C-15 War Canoes that is outdated, unsafe and uncompetitive. Replacement will allow for entry into additional competitive tournaments, increase in membership and new program development.

Children's Resources on Wheels of Lanark Inc.
$35,000 over one year to purchase a new bus to transport playgroup, toy and resource lending materials to rural communities in Lanark County.

Cloyne and District Historical Society
$22,100 over nine months to upgrade the Pioneer Museum by improving display areas and making it more accessible. The museum showcases the region's rich heritage and attracts tourists to the area.

Community Foundation of Greater Kingston
$37,500 over one year to establish and expand programs to foster youth participation in philanthropy and to help develop communication resources, including materials, enhanced audio-visuals and an improved Web site.

Community Resource Centre Quinte
$75,000 over one year to build a new kitchen area for user agencies and their clients, install a wheelchair platform lift system between two floors of the building, and create a wheelchair ramp at the entrance.

$25,000 over one year to enable the organization to offer literacy and life skills to adults with special needs in the Quinte area.

Country Roads Community Health Centre
$22,500 over nine months to support the coordination and delivery of an after-school program with a volunteer trainee component for at-risk children in the community of Portland and the surrounding rural area.

Dr. James Naismith Basketball Foundation
$19,500 over 13 months to produce a travelling exhibit and acquire showcases, computers and audio/visual equipment, for the benefit of local museums belonging to the Lanark County Museum Association. The initiative is expected to increase tourism.

Edwardsburgh Lions Club Inc.
$49,200 over one year to help renovate and repair the Lions Club's building, which is a facility that is used for many community activities.

Elizabeth Fry Society of Kingston
$118,000 over two years to provide a Court Support Program to assist women who have come to the attention of the criminal justice system through incurred charges.

Extend-A-Family Kingston
$56,000 over two years to increase the integration of children with disabilities in the community by supporting a community liaison project which promotes the organization to potential volunteers and donors, and works to enhance member participation.

Frontenac, Lennox & Addington Wraparound Initiativec/o Pathways for Children and Youth
$120,000 over two years to provide transitional funding for this initiative that supports children, youth and families with complex needs in Frontenac, Lennox and Addington.

Greater Kingston Girls Hockey Association
$25,000 over one month to purchase team uniforms and protective equipment for players in this new girls hockey organization.

Hastings County Museum of Agricultural Heritage
$62,300 over 10 months to design and implement an interactive audio visual display to better explain museum artifacts and provide an understanding of the evolution of agriculture in the area, its economic impact and issues facing agriculture today.

Hospice Lennox and Addington
$75,000 over three years for a bereavement program, marketing and promotion of the hospice, and increased client and volunteer support.

John Howard Society of Kingston and District
$72,600 over two years to support the Youth Academic Intervention Program which matches children of prisoners between 11 and 15 with community mentors to enhance their academic performance and self-esteem.

Kemptville Area Youth Advocacy Committee
$50,000 over one year to continue and enhance current programs as well as to increase the operational capacity of this club for youth.

Kingston Area School to Employment Council
$35,500 over eight months to develop and implement an employment readiness program geared specifically toward personal development and job skills for women who face many barriers to community integration.

Kingston Community Counselling Centre
$24,900 over one year to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach to the network of support services available to victims of domestic violence and their children in Frontenac County.

Kingston Grenadiers Drum and Bugle Corps
$75,000 over one year to help purchase new bugles which will enhance the Corps' performance quality and musical education programs.

Kingston Gymnastics Club
$73,000 over nine months to improve accessibility and safety conditions at the club’s gym facility.

Kingston Kiwanis Music Festival
$8,500 over one year to support the operation of the festival and to replace office equipment, both of which are needed to continue the 30-year tradition of presenting this annual two-week long community musical event.

Kingston Lawn Bowling Club
$16,500 over one month to assist the club upgrade its greens so that members of the community will be able to continue to enjoy the sport of lawn bowling.

Kingston Naval Veterans' Association
$39,000 over one month to provide enhanced accessibility by modifying the existing front entrance, building a wheelchair ramp and building accessible women's and men's washroom facilities.

Kingston Yacht Club
$19,000 over one year to work in collaboration with Able Sail Kingston to make it possible for people with disabilities to enjoy sailing. Funding is being provided for necessary renovations and new equipment.

$8,500 over seven months to support the ArtsFusion multi-dimensional arts festival aimed at raising community awareness of the value of arts and culture in daily community life and highlighting significant area social concerns.

$25,000 over nine months to assist in purchasing equipment for the club's new gymnastics facility.

$58,700 over one year to replace aging and inefficient ice-making and heating equipment.

McDonalds Corners Agricultural Society
$55,500 over six months to make improvements to this historically significant agricultural hall that will enable it to be used for more community functions.

Mecklenburgh District Heritage Co-operativec/o Lennox and Addington Historical Society
$24,900 over one year to market four area heritage sites and produce shared marketing materials by providing support for staffing, design work and computer equipment to promote local heritage and tourism.

Mississippi Mills Chamber of Commerce
$16,000 over one year to support a collaborative initiative with the Pakenham Business and Tourism Association and Noreen Young Productions to establish visitor centres and a puppet museum.

Mississippi River Days Summer Festival
$7,000 over one year to enable this annual festival in Carleton Place to expand its programs and promotional activities in order to increase attendance and attract more tourists to the area.

Mississippi Valley Textile Museum
$10,000 over six months to work in collaboration with The West Carleton Fibre Guild to host a major exhibition of hand weaving and spinning at the museum in 2003.

Napanee Crunch Female Hockey Association
$25,000 over one year for operating support and equipment to make the sport of hockey accessible to young women from all backgrounds and to increase player and spectator participation.

Neilson Store Museum and Cultural Centre
$60,000 over one year toward renovation and restoration of the historic Neilson Store on Amherst Island.

North Frontenac Community Services Corporation
$25,000 over one year toward an agency service evaluation and a community needs study of the North Frontenac area.

North Frontenac Literacy Program
$60,500 over one year to help establish the “Trails to Literacy” program in Picton, Perth and Napanee. This innovative program enables participants to gain literacy and employment skills while improving area trails and other public spaces.

North Hastings Community Integration Association
$18,800 over one year to support a series of community educational seminars on disabilities and related issues, and to develop a joint training committee with other North Hastings agencies to identify future training needs.

Ottawa Bluesfest
$10,000 over two years to bring the “Blues in the Schools” program to Kingston area youth. This educational initiative of the Ottawa Bluesfest encourages knowledge and appreciation of “blues” music. Another OTF grant of

Parr Christie Singers
$18,500 over one year to help purchase a portable piano, sound amplification equipment, and clothing for the chorus members in order to improve performances and increase audience attendance at community concerts.

Plainfield Community Homes
$50,000 over one year to help coordinate the recruitment and training of the volunteers who provide friendship and support to more than 80 group home residents, many of whom have been institutionalized for most of their lives.

Prevention Awareness for Life
$25,000 over one year to provide an innovative anti-bullying and life skills development program for children, including a creative approach to address vulnerable and at-risk children.

Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association
$60,000 over one year for development of a new strategic plan, office equipment and furnishings, and equipment for the association’s Thrift Shop.

Prince Edward Lennox and Addington Community Futures Development Corporation
$24,700 over one year to develop and implement a business plan to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Regent Theatre in Picton. The plan will include marketing and development strategies aimed at partnering with the local community.

Quinte Ballet School
$32,600 over one year to engage a dance instructor for recreational and professional dance students in the Quinte area.

Quinte Destinations for Youth
$5,000 over one year to expand and further develop the interactive capabilities of the organization's Youth Resource website.

Quinte In-Line Hockey League
$24,000 over three months to purchase in-line hockey uniforms and protective equipment for participants in 12 house teams. Quinte and Trenton area children from all backgrounds benefit.

Quinte Watershed Cleanup Inc.
$68,000 over two years to develop community environmental stewardship and responsibility in the Bay of Quinte area through public awareness campaigns, educational workshops, and partnership projects.

$15,200 over nine months to organize and present EcoFluency, a two-day regional fair and forum on ecological waste management strategies for smaller municipalities and rural areas.

Quinte West Chamber of Commerce
$41,400 over six months to help renovate this well used community facility, including making electrical and plumbing repairs, and installing a wheelchair-accessible washroom.

Rideau Canal Museum
$30,000 over one year to help the museum position itself as a leader and significant contributor to tourism, culture and community life through its events and services.

Rideau Lakes Environmental Foundation
$9,300 over one month to make the services provided at the Rideau Lakes Environment and Information Centre more accessible to people with physical disabilities.

Rideau Waterway Land Trust Foundation Inc.
$96,100 over three years to support outreach by expanding Rideau corridor programs and strengthening volunteer training.

The Rotary Club of Perth
$15,000 over three months to promote literacy and enhance this community's cultural experience by launching an Authors’ Reading Festival that will take place in partnership with a classic car rally and an antique boat show.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 228, Stirling
$23,400 over one year for renovations and repairs to this popular community facility. The electrical, heating and air filtration systems will be upgraded, a walk-in refrigerator will be replaced, and glass doors will be installed between the lounges.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 484, Mallorytown
$37,800 over one year to renovate and improve the accessibility of the Legion building which is used by many local voluntary organizations for community activities, including youth and seniors groups.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 623, Bath
$10,000 over one month to assist with repairs to the roof of the Legion building and to construct a cenotaph to honour community members who died in both World Wars, the Korean War, and in peacekeeping missions.

Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 237
$53,100 over one year toward renovations and accessibility improvements, including the installation of a lift and an accessible washroom.

Royal Canadian Legion, Fort Wellington (Ont. 97) Branch
$19,600 over one month to make a veterans memorial garden more accessible to the public by installing a wheelchair walkway, landscaping, lighting and a public address system.

$47,000 over one year to establish a dragon-boat program, expand the rowing programs and provide a high standard of coaching.

Smiths Falls and District Club for Youth
$50,000 over two years to increase the operational capacity of this club so that it can provide much needed programs and services for area youth.

$50,000 over one year to undertake renovations to a community performing arts theatre which will promote community awareness of the arts and stimulate community economic development through the resulting increased and improved theatrical presentations.

Smiths Falls Curling and Squash Club
$24,800 over one year for renovations and repairs to the club so that the community will be able to continue to enjoy the social and health benefits of curling and squash.

Thousand Island-Frontenac Arch Nature & History Networkc/o Canadian Thousand Islands Heritage Conservancy
$77,000 over 18 months to support the development and implementation of environmental projects related to conservation, development, research and education in the area.

$10,000 over one month to purchase tables, chairs and a public address system, which will benefit seniors, community groups, and other Madoc area residents.

$104,600 over two years to strengthen the leadership ability of the United Way and to develop collaborative approaches to working throughout the United Counties to build strong communities.

United Way of Quinte
$24,300 over one month for accessibility improvements, including the installation of a ramp and an accessible washroom.

$25,000 over 10 months towards costs to produce a summer season of live theatre and music at the Regent Theatre in Picton, increasing tourism, creating additional employment and related economic benefits.

Wharf Street Community Hall
$25,000 over one year to help renovate this historic community facility in downtown Belleville, which is home to the renowned Wharf Street Debating Club.

Wilton Women's Institute
$25,000 over ten months to assist in restoring the original stained glass windows in the historic hall of the women s institute. Severely oxidized lead frames, broken and missing glass, support bars, and protective screens will be replaced.

Work Enterprise Centre
$25,000 over one year to support this training and community development organization in helping disadvantaged people secure employment by providing funding assistance for office supplies and administration, program coordination and marketing.
