$12,800 to purchase tables and chairs for the Foxboro Second Milers Club, which provides social and recreational activities for area seniors.

$17,500 to install a new condenser and to make appropriate site modifications and repairs, thereby increasing tourism from hosting bonspiels.

$50,000 over two years to establish and strengthen community support for recreational and developmental programs and services for youth, and in particular youth at risk.

$36,000 over one year to maintain and strengthen the organization's efforts to promote safety and injury prevention for children, youth and seniors in the Greater Belleville area.

Greater Napanee Gymnastics Club
$43,700 to purchase new equipment to enhance gym safety and increase access to gymnastics for children, youth and adults in the Greater Napanee area.

$25,000 over one year to assist in building a state-of-the-art outdoor concrete skateboard park to provide a safe recreational venue for area youth.

Prince Edward Yacht Club
$25,000 to improve the fleet of the sailing school through the purchase of four new 420 sailboats and ten dollies, benefiting young people participating and developing skills in a healthy outdoor activity.

Quinte Curling Club
$75,000 over one year to replace and repair the roof of the Quinte Curling Club.

Quinte Dolphins Swim Club
$23,900 over two years to assist in providing swimming programs and developing a website to encourage greater participation in the sport of swimming in Prince Edward County.

Quinte Region Food Sharing Shelter Inc.
$57,600 over one year to operate and maintain a warehouse for food banks and food-sharing programs in the counties of Hastings, Prince Edward, Lennox and Addington, and Northumberland.

Quinte United Immigrant Services
$43,100 over one month to support office renovations that will provide greater client privacy and confidentiality and space for group programs, meetings and classes.

Recreation Outreach Centre
$50,000 over two years for operational support that will enable the centre to provide and expand sports, recreation and cultural programs to children and youth in Prince Edward County.

Rideau Hill Camp of the United Church of Canada
$28,000 over seven months to renovate the kitchen and dining hall at a camp located north of Kemptville which provides recreational opportunities to families from several nearby counties. (A Champlain area OTF grant of $12,000 has also been approved.

RKY Camp
$14,500 over one year to complete the design phase of a constructed wetland to treat human wastewater at this camp near Parham on the shores of Eagle Lake.

Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Kingston Centre c/o Royal Astronomical Society of Canada
$25,000 over two years to support an astronomy public education program offering open houses, tours and educational programs to the public at the Queen's University Observatory in Kingston.

Royal Canadian Air Force Memorial Museum
$75,000 over one year to plan the arrangement and interpretation of artefacts in the newly renovated and expanded RCAF Memorial Museum in Quinte West.

Royal Canadian Legion - Brockville Branch (96)
$17,000 over one year to assist with renovations to the baseball dug outs and to repair and upgrade the interior of a community hall that is used for many community activities.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 110 (Trenton)
$20,800 to help furnish three rooms of the newly renovated legion hall in Trenton, which will be used for many social and recreational activities by members of the community.

Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 137
$75,000 over one month to install a vertical platform lift and shaft providing access to the second floor, create of a new accessible entrance with power door openers and add accessible stalls in the men's and women's washrooms.

Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 387 (Frankford)
$75,000 over one year to repair the roof, replace the furnace, install air conditioning, and improve the accessibility of the entrance of the Legion Hall in Frankford, a well used community facility.

Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 395
$42,200 over one year to make repairs and improvements to a familiar facility in Lanark that is used for many community social and recreational activities.

Rural Expo 2003 Lanark County International Plowing Match and Farm Machinery Show
$25,000 over three months to provide volunteer development and ensure that the Rural Expo 2003 site is accessible to people with disabilities. This Expo is the largest community event held in Lanark County.

Ryan's Well Foundation
$16,000 to support Project Dandelion, a workshop series that teaches school children and educators about the importance of water conservation.

Safe Communities Partnership of Perth and District
$35,000 over one year to enable a local group to raise community awareness of safety issues by building its organizational capacity.

Sexual Assault Crisis Centre (Kingston) Inc.
$24,000 over one year to upgrade computer systems and to expand working space to accommodate the needs of additional clients and volunteers.

$12,600 over one year to restore and repair the historic Centennial Hall, at St. James Church, a source of pride for Franktown.

$75,000 over one year to purchase a new Mobile First Aid Post (ambulance).

St. Lawrence Shakespeare Theatrical Company
$15,000 over five months to support the start-up of a Shakespeare Theatrical Company in Prescott which will enhance the vitality of the waterfront and attract tourists.

Stirling and District Minor Soccer Association Inc.
$42,000 over one year to develop three new soccer pitches in the village of Stirling which will enable more local area youth to enjoy the sport of soccer and participate in healthy recreational activities.

Sydenham Lake Canoe Club
$41,900 to install a canoe sprint race course on Sydenham Lake, offering increased opportunities for people of all ages to learn and compete in the sport of canoe and kayak racing.

Take Young People Seriously (Almonte) Inc.
$24,600 over two years to offer a series of free mini-courses on a range of topics designed to enhance the life skills of local youth, promoting employability, confidence and good citizenship.

$25,000 over two years to support “TASTE!, a celebration of regional cuisine”, a one-day annual festival designed to showcase locally grown and prepared foods and beverages. This event is to be held in Picton on the Thanksgiving weekend.

Theatre Kingston
$25,000 over one year to stage the Kingston Summer Children's Theatre Project in 2003. The project will provide two professional productions and school and community based theatre workshops to over 7,000 Kingston and area children and youth.

Thousand Islands Foundation for the Performing Arts
$25,000 over nine months to encourage youth interest in the performing arts by bringing the Young Company to elementary schools in rural areas and including a tour to secondary schools.

Township of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal
$43,200 over one year to repair and make improvements to an outdoor community pool in Cardinal which will enhance the safety and enjoyment of area swimmers.

Township of Tyendinaga
$40,500 over six months to create an outdoor playground in the village of Melrose providing children in this small community with a safe and enjoyable play area.

Trent Community Correctional Committee, Inc.
$51,800 over two years to offer the Alternative to School Suspensions program in Quinte West, offering at-risk youth aged 12 to 16 life skills training and support to succeed in school.

Trent Port Historical Society
$25,000 over one month to repair an 1869 grand piano and purchase tables, chairs, sound and video equipment for the historic Trenton Town Hall.

Trenton Racquet Club
$25,000 to assist in resurfacing a tennis court, offering increased opportunities for Quinte West residents to learn and play the game of tennis.

Tsi Kionheh ne Onkwawenna
$25,000 over five months to coordinate a four-week Mohawk language immersion program in the summer of 2003 and provide resource materials for future use.

United Way Serving Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington
$85,000 over two years to help launch “'Success by 6”, an initiative that brings together the public, private sectors and social service organizations to ensure that children have access to services they needed for their early childhood development.

Verona Community Association
$20,000 over three years to assist in the development of the annual three-day Verona Festival. Held on the second weekend in August, the event is an important tourist attraction.

Verona Lions Mini Park Revitalization Committee c/o Verona Lions Club
$22,000 over one year to refurbish the Verona Lions Mini Park with new playground equipment, picnic tables and benches.
