10,000 Trees Project $38,900 over two years for office equipment and administrative support to strengthen the infrastructure of this organization in its developmental stages. The initiative will enhance the beauty of the region through tree planting.
Achill Choral Society Corporation $20,000 over one year to enable this popular community choir to purchase new uniforms and continue to offer quality performances to residents of Dufferin County.
Amherst Wildlife Foundation $60,000 over four years for the trumpeter swan reintroduction program, a volunteer-driven project that will return swans to their original habitat by nurturing and caring for more than 250 cygnets at the Fair Lake compound near the community of Ayr.
Art in Guelph and Outside Guelph (AGOG) 2004 c/o Guelph Arts Council $25,000 over one year to allow this network of over 20 arts organizations and 500 artists to promote and launch a visual and media arts festival and draw national and international attention to the arts in Wellington County.
Arthur Lawn Bowling Club c/o Ontario Lawn Bowls Association $10,200 over one year to renovate the facility so that local seniors will continue to have access to recreational programs.
Aspirations Film Festival $6,000 over six months to purchase two notebook computers that will support an initiative to recruit sponsors and create long term partnerships with major corporations for the annual film festival held in Waterloo.
Augmentative Communication Community Partnerships - Canada (ACCPC) $73,000 over 18 months to develop and pilot an augmentative communication program in the KidsAbility Centre in Kitchener to promote early learning and literacy development in preschool children with disabilities.
Ayr Curling Club $24,700 over one year to complete renovations to a community facility in Ayr that is used for many social and recreational activities by area residents.
Ayr Minor Hockey Association $30,000 over one year to purchase equipment so that Ayr youth will be able to continue to play hockey while the association implements a long-term sustainability plan.
Bereaved Families of Ontario - Waterloo Region $17,600 over one year to purchase equipment and develop a fundraising strategy in order to strengthen the organization and provide services to parents who have experienced the loss of a child.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cambridge $128,000 over three years to strengthen the organization to meet the demands of an increased client base and its expanded role of supporting and enhancing the self-esteem of girls and boys in the community.

Cruickston Charitable Research Reserve $168,300 over three years to support public recognition, volunteer involvement, and investment in the restoration of a 913-acre park located in Cambridge and North Dumfries, which is the fourth largest urban park in North America.
Dancetheatre David Earle $18,000 over nine months to provide administrative and marketing support for the Guelph launch of “The Court of Miracles”, a play that is rich in medieval music and pageantry, and features a cast of 50 dancers and acrobats.
Downtown East, Ya Gotta Luv It c/o Highland Stirling Community Group $140,900 over five years to coordinate the 'Downtown East, Ya Gotta Luv It' program, a volunteer-driven project in Kitchener to help change perceptions about the inner city neighbourhood and improve the quality for life for people living there.
Drayton Agricultural Society $25,000 over one year to complete renovations to the roof of a community facility in Drayton that is used by many groups for social and recreational activities.

Elora Centre for the Arts $75,000 to replace part of the roof of a heritage building that houses the newly established Elora Centre for the Arts benefiting local artists and the community.
Elora Rocks Lawn Bowling Club $20,000 over one year to replace the backboards and gutters of two greens that are very popular and well used by members of the community.
Emmanuel Church Day Nursery $70,500 over one year to make renovations to an old school in order to create a shared family and community centre that will be used by several community organizations and groups in Waterloo region.
Erin Agricultural Society $27,600 over six months to replace the roof of a building that provides an important meeting space for the Agricultural Society and many other community activities.
Evergreen Action Nutrition c/o Guelph/Wellington Seniors Association $31,800 over one year to improve the quality of life of seniors in Guelph and Wellington County by supporting the adoption of healthy nutritional practices by organizations in the social service system.

Fergus Skating Club $11,100 over one year to purchase equipment that will enable children with hearing impairments to participate in the sport of skating and to assist the organization in serving children and youth in the area.
Forest Heights Junior Playground c/o The Optimist Club of Forest Heights, Kitchener, Ontario $15,000 over one year to purchase preschool equipment for a playground that serves families living in two Kitchener area neighbourhoods.
Four Directions Restorative Justice Pilot c/o Social Planning Council of Cambridge and North Dumfries $ 65,000 over one year to implement, research and evaluate an Aboriginal restorative justice program that promotes a healing approach to justice. The Aboriginal community will be involved in all aspects of the program.
Freedoms Wings Canada c/o Youth Flight Canada Education Fund $75,000 over one year for a Peregrine glider with adaptive hand controls, an innovative initiative that will enable persons with disabilities to experience the three dimensional world of flight.
Friends for Life c/o Head Injury Association of Waterloo-Wellington $16,400 over one year to evaluate a music program benefiting adults who have severe disabilities and live in the Waterloo and Wellington communities.
Grand River Fisheries Management Plan Implementation Coordinator c/o Ontario Wildlife Foundation $88,000 over two years to assist volunteers in implementing selected 'best bets' for habitat improvement and fisheries management in the Grand River.

Guelph Water Polo Club $10,000 over one year to purchase equipment and to conduct a promotional campaign in order to increase the involvement of Guelph area youth in the sport of water polo.
Guelph Youth Singers $35,000 over one year to build the capacity of this local youth choir by supporting an operational review and enhanced marketing initiatives.
Habitat for Humanity Wellington County $69,600 over six months to set up a ReStore in Guelph which will sell donated and used construction and home renovation materials. The initiative will recycle and divert materials that otherwise would have been sent to landfill sites.
Harriston 55 Plus Club c/o The United Senior Citizens of Ontario $14,700 over one year to make upgrades to this community facility that will improve energy efficiency and reduce heating costs so that Harriston area seniors will continue to be able to benefit from social and recreational activities.
Heritage Greens Lawn Bowling Club $31,400 over one year to purchase new equipment and install a walkway to ensure that seniors and persons with disabilities in the community have full access to this recreational program.
Hillsburg Erin and District Soccer $75,000 over one year to improve the recreational facility and programs, centralize the local soccer activities, host soccer tournaments and schedule more games within a well-lit safe environment for over 800 children and youth.
Homer Watson House & Gallery $26,000 over one year to expand the pottery program at this Kitchener gallery, which will provide more opportunities for children, youth and adults in the community to learn and enjoy the arts.
Hospice of Waterloo Region $95,300 over two years for operating support to ensure that quality-end-of-life care services and programs continue to be made available to palliative and terminally ill patients and their families.
Island Lake Rowing Club $40,000 over one year to purchase boats and equipment that will be used for coaching and teaching rowing, and offer more opportunities for youth and people with disabilities in Orangeville to participate in rowing programs.
Jacob Hespeler Child Care Centre $22,800 over one year to develop an “Artists in the Centre” program benefiting pre-school students in five child care centres in Waterloo Region.
John Howard Society of Waterloo-Wellington $73,900 over one year to complete renovations to a newly acquired building in Cambridge that will enable the organization to enhance its programs, including many youth crime prevention initiatives.
Kitchener Alliance Community Homes Inc. $30,000 over ten months for a feasibility study that will review the potential use of four churches and their lands in the downtown core to accommodate a broad mix of affordable housing and an integrated multi-use facility.
Kitchener Lawn Bowling Club $19,500 over one year to complete accessibility renovations to the clubhouse, purchase some equipment and install a new sprinkler system in order to improve the quality of the greens at this community facility.
Kitchener Waterloo Little Theatre $59,700 over one year to assist this volunteer-driven theatre in acquiring portable sound and light equipment in order to perform in affordable venues throughout the area and retain its current patrons and members as it moves to a permanent facility.
Kitchener-Waterloo Counselling Services Inc. $159,500 over three years to undertake a longitudinal research study of an anger and emotions management program (STEAM) that provides children, parents and teachers with practical strategies and tools to deal with disruptive behaviours.
Kitchener-Waterloo Minor Lacrosse Association Incorporated $24,000 over one year to purchase new equipment to support the expansion of the program, benefiting over 700 children and youth in field and box lacrosse programs.
K-W Habilitation Services $32,400 over one year to purchase adaptive toys and equipment in support of 140 preschool children with disabilities who are enrolled in 38 child care centres in the Kitchener and Waterloo area.
K-W Working Centre for the Unemployed $128,800 over two years to provide administrative resources to facilitate volunteer involvement in a construction design project to revitalize a Kitchener community resource centre building.
Living Well Foundation $15,000 over one year to develop a business plan outlying organizational fundraising objectives and strategies that will increase efficiency, maximize staff support and coordinate service delivery for wellness and peer support programs in the region.
Mill Creek Stewardship Ranger Program c/o Optimist Club of Puslinch $76,600 over four years to assist in restoring the Mill Creek watershed, a coldwater trout stream that originates in Puslinch Township. The initiative will provide local youth with training and career mentoring opportunities.
Minto Economic Development Corporation,The $71,000 over one year to upgrade sound systems and equipment that will benefit the Norgan Theatre, the Arts Council artist café and the Heritage Association. The initiative will contribute to the revitalization of the Town of Minto.
Minto Lacrosse Association $4,300 over eight months to purchase lacrosse equipment and to provide training for coaches for this newly established recreational program serving the Town of Minto and area.
Mount Forest and District Lawn Bowling Club $14,600 over one year to renovate the facilities, including installing an irrigation system and purchasing sports equipment for youth. As a result, more members of the community will be able to enjoy lawn bowling activities.
Moving Forward.....Together c/o United Way of Cambridge and North Dumfries $128,700 over two years to design and implement a community-wide plan that will enhance the ability of community-based organizations in Cambridge and North Dumfries to evaluate the effectiveness of their programs.
Optimist Club of Conestogo/Winterbourne Inc. $22,000 over two years to complete the surfacing of 2.5 kilometres of the Kissing Bridge Trail, specifically between Northfield and Middlebrooke Roads, and to install a footbridge over Silver Creek.
Orangeville Curling Club $50,500 over one year to replace the roof of the arena in this broadly used community facility.
Orangeville Gymnastics Club $26,800 over one year to purchase a new spring floor for the gymnastics club to ensure quality training by coaches and safe play during all the programs offered by the organization.
Palmerston C.N.R.A. Lawn Bowling Club $13,800 over one year to purchase equipment, repair the roof and install a sprinkler system at this popular community recreational facility in Palmerston.
Palmerston Trail Association Inc. $10,000 over one year to pave 1.5 kilometres of new trail and replace a trestle bridge in order to enhance the opportunity of residents and visitors to participate in outdoor activities and enjoy the natural environment.
Planned Parenthood Waterloo Region $50,000 over two years to recruit and train volunteers in order to expand services and reduce linguistic, financial, social and cultural barriers to sexual health programs and services.
Preston Lawn Bowling Club c/o Ontario Lawn Bowls Association $24,100 over one year to renovate the greens and purchase equipment for this lawn bowling club which provides valued recreational programs to Preston area seniors.
Rotary Club of Clifford $54,800 over one year to improve a 12 acre parcel of land to be used by the community for recreational activities including cross country skiing, walking, outdoor sports and picnics, and for community events such as an antique car and tractor show.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 134 (Mount Forest) $23,400 over one year to repair the roof and make other enhancements to a facility in Mount Forest that is well used by the community for social and recreational activities.
Royal City Feis Association $15,500 over eight months to market and promote a day-long Irish festival in Guelph which celebrates Irish arts, music and dance and attracts hundreds of participants and visitors to the area.
Sunrise Equestrian & Recreation Centre $55,800 over two years to respond to the increased demand for this Puslinch centre’s therapeutic and recreational riding programs for children and adults with a diversity of special needs and to strengthen the centre’s volunteer program.
Supportive Housing For Youth Project c/o Cambridge Kiwanis Village Non-Profit Housing Corporation $48,000 over two years to assess a supportive housing for youth demonstration project in Cambridge to determine the best practices for providing housing stability and assistance to homeless and at-risk youth aged 16 to 24.
The Community Torchlight $98,400 over two years to design, implement and evaluate a telephone assurance outreach program for vulnerable seniors in rural Dufferin County.
The Guelph Enabling Garden $25,000 over one year to prepare technical designs for a fully accessible therapeutic garden that will promote and facilitate overall well being based on the principles of horticultural therapy.
The Guelph Little Theatre $52,900 over one year to upgrade the sound system and provide acoustical curtains. The project will improve the quality of performances, enabling the theatre to increase its membership and corporate sponsors and attract more tourists to the area.
The Irish Dancers of the Doyle Academy Association $20,000 over one year for start-up support for this newly established organization that will enable children and youth from the entire Waterloo region to participate in Irish dance as it develops a long-term sustainability plan.
The New Quarterly Literary Society Inc. $71,000 over three years to create a fund development plan, attract more volunteers and increase circulation of the Waterloo society’s publication in order to encourage new writers and create opportunities in the area of literature and literacy.
Threadwork 2004 Collaborative c/o Guelph Arts Council $10,000 over one year to support the development of a catalogue featuring the Threadworks Exhibit 2004 which will draw thousands of tourists to Guelph to view the work of needlework artisans.
Town of Shelburne (Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex) $75,000 over one year to repair the roof of the recreation complex in Shelburne so that the facility will continue to be able to offer safe and affordable sports and recreational activities to residents of four area municipalities.
Township of Guelph/Eramosa $11,000 over six months to support the construction of two batting cages that will provide skills development opportunities to children and youth at Lloyd Park and Rockmosa Park.
Twin Cities Minor Tackle Football Association $24,400 over one year to purchase equipment and offer coach training in support of a recreational program for children and youth in the area.
United Way Community Services of Guelph and Wellington $23,300 over one year for a community database project to strengthen social planning and service delivery in the community through the effective ongoing provision of quality data and analysis.
Ventures Drum & Bugle Corps Inc. $42,700 over one year to purchase equipment and support the revitalization of this Elmira-based drum and bugle band so that Waterloo region youth will continue to benefit from the unique artistic and athletic experience it provides.

World 2003 Heritage School Program c/o Ontario Lacrosse Association $23,400 over six months to produce a documentary about the heritage of lacrosse, which will be used as an educational tool to promote the sport to children in the Waterloo region and across the province.
