Affiliated Services for Children and Youth $75,000 over one year to purchase resource materials, conduct meetings and outreach, attract volunteers and deliver a program to schools and students that will reduce and prevent bullying in Hamilton.
Afro Canadian Caribbean Association $25,000 over one year to purchase equipment and develop and deliver a youth-issues program that will provide education and positive role models for black youth aged 13 to 21 years from the African- and Caribbean-Canadian communities.
Autism/PDD Family Alliance $24,000 over four years to develop and expand this cooking club, which enables people with autism in the Dundas community to live independently or semi-independently and learn skills that may aid with employment and volunteer opportunities.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hamilton and Burlington $20,000 over one year to renovate a ramp to the building, improving safety and ensuring greater accessibility to people with disabilities in the community.
Binbrook Little Theatre $22,400 to purchase updated lighting equipment, providing this community theatre group with the technology needed to enhance the quality of shows, attract younger volunteers and encourage interest in the performing arts in the community.
Campus Town Association $27,000 over one year to conduct research, carry out consultations and develop processes that will better and safely integrate university students into residential neighbourhoods in Hamilton, while maintaining a strong vibrant community.
Centre Français Hamilton Inc. $10,000 over six months to repair the roof on the Centre Français building, improving the comfort and safety of this meeting place for activities that promote French language and culture.
Church of the Ascension $33,500 over five years to attract volunteers and deliver the Out of the Cold Program, which provides hot meals, gives support and reduces isolation for homeless people in Hamilton, helping shelters to reduce their costs and burdens.
Dundas Historical Society Museum $46,400 over one year to purchase equipment, develop a database and train staff and volunteers. This will help preserve archival collections and catalogue the museum's entire collection for research and general interest purposes.
Dutch Canadian Veteran Association $11,700 over one year to rent a venue, purchase liberation pins and produce a video recording of a Hamilton-area tribute and medal ceremony that is being held to recognize the role of WWII veterans in the liberation of Holland.
Greater Hamilton Symphony Association $7,800 over one year to develop a business plan and organize a young artists competition for this volunteer orchestra in Hamilton and Burlington. This will encourage activity and interest in music, the symphony and the arts in the community.
Hamilton Area Eco-Network c/o Hamilton-Wentworth Green Venture $118,300 over two years to develop plans and communication materials, organize workshops and conduct presentations. This will help build a mechanism for 22 local environmental groups to share training, education, information and volunteer resources.
Hamilton Minor Hockey Council $134,100 over two years to purchase office equipment, obtain materials and conduct training programs that will instruct 1200 volunteers in areas of skill development and safety, improving support to 5,000 recreational hockey players in the community.
Hamilton Provincial Environthon 2005 c/o Ontario Forestry Association $25,000 over six months for accommodation, supplies, awards and materials for the 2005 Hamilton Provincial Environthon, an outdoor hands-on project where young people will be actively engaged in environmental improvement and clean-up projects.
Hamilton Youth Drug Diversion Program c/o John Howard Society of Hamilton, Burlington and Area $59,800 over three years to develop a comprehensive multi-step plan to reduce drug use among youth in Hamilton, using prevention, enforcement and intervention strategies.
Imperial Cotton Centre for the Arts $30,000 over one year to conduct community consultations and develop detailed business and strategic plans for the centre, which helps to profile and develop Hamilton artists as entrepreneurs.
Leander Boat Club of Hamilton $55,000 over one year to purchase a vehicle to transport boats and equipment to competitions for 500 rowers. This will help to encourage healthy outdoor activity for members of the club and community.
Neighbour to Neighbour Centre $50,000 over one year to install a barrier-free access ramp and make associated renovations to a local food bank, enabling better service delivery and access for people with disabilities.
Newman Youth Basketball $17,000 over one year to provide coaching, first aid, safety and skills-development training for coaches and volunteers, helping to enhance the safety, skills and enjoyment of young basketball players in Stoney Creek.

Guiding in Women's Shelters c/o Girl Guides of Canada - Guides du Canada Escarpment Area $10,400 over one year for a pilot project that will enable girls who are living with their mothers in three shelters in Hamilton to participate in Girl Guide activities. (An additional grant of $10,400 will support similar opportunities in Halton.)

A Decent Place to Live c/o Ontario Workers Arts and Heritage Centre Inc. $25,000 over one year to design and build an interactive, portable multi-media exhibit for display in Hamilton that raises awareness about the experience of homelessness and the challenges faced by people seeking decent affordable housing.
Art Gallery of Hamilton $90,000 over three years to coordinate a Travel Trade and Hospitality Services program, including the purchase a Tourism Ambassador display station and volunteer training, to increase the number of visitors.
Beasley Advisory Committee, c/o The YMCA of Hamilton/Burlington $55,500 over one year to enhance the neighbourhood community development work of the Beasley Community Centre in providing programs for children, youth and families in the Beasley neighbourhood of Hamilton.
Cattel Seniors' Centre Project c/o Rotary Club of Dundas Ontario, Canada $75,000 over one year to renovate the seniors’ centre in Dundas to improve accessibility and provide a safe, comfortable environment where local seniors can pursue recreational and social activities.
Charlton Hall Child & Family Centre $75,000 over one year to purchase computers, appliances and furnishing for a new 12-bed residence in Hamilton to provide mental health services for children in the care of the Children’s Aid Society.
Children's Aid Society of Hamilton-Wentworth, The $100,000 over two years to assist the organization to revise its policies, practices, programs and services to embody an anti-racist, inclusive culture that better reflects and involves members of Hamilton’s diverse community.
Community Child Abuse Council of Canada $146,800 over three years to strengthen the Hamilton organization and expand its ability to reduce the incidence and impact of child abuse in the community through education and intervention programs.
Community Dispute Resolution Services of Hamilton-Wentworth $23,000 over one year to assist the Hamilton-based organization to develop and grow as an agency providing services and education that helps resolve personal, neighbourhood and organization disputes.
Dundas Arts & Craft Association $20,800 over one year to celebrate the association’s 25th anniversary with two commissioned commemorative pieces, exhibitions and a volunteer reception.
Equestrian Association for the Disabled $25,000 over one year to help strengthen the Mount Hope organization so that it can continue to provide quality therapeutic horseback riding lessons to children and adults with disabilities.
Factory: Hamilton Media Arts Centre, The $13,100 over six months to conduct a feasibility study in the field of film and media arts
Girl Guides of Canada - Escarpment Area $75,000 over one year to resurface the organization’s camp road to improve drainage and reduce the potential for mosquito breeding grounds.
Hamilton Artists Inc. $56,700 over one year to help strengthen the organization, purchase equipment for local exhibitions and research, write and print a publication celebrating the organization’s 30th anniversary.
Hamilton Hammerheads Athletic Club $18,100 to purchase high performance racing bicycles, wet suits and other equipment for the sport of triathlon to ensure the participation of young athletes who otherwise would not be able to take part in this growing sport.
Hamilton Printmakers Arts Association - The Print Shop $75,000 to purchase equipment and create an environmentally safe print studio that is economically and physically accessible to attract a wide range of new students to the art of printmaking.
Hamilton Training Advisory Board $10,000 to help produce the Tech 2004 - Women At Work trade and technology conference in Hamilton to educate participants and teachers about careers in trades and technology.
Hamilton-Wentworth Chapter of Native Women Incorporated $20,000 over one year to develop a strategic plan for strengthening the agency, which provides emergency shelter for all women experiencing crises in their lives due to family violence or conflict with the law.
Kairos Literary Society $10,000 over six months to develop a plan for strengthening the organization’s ability to provide professional support and literary programs for new and established writers in Hamilton.
Knot A Breast Cancer Support Services $21,400 over one year to purchase a dragon boat and other equipment to enable breast cancer survivors in Hamilton to participate in dragon boat racing, an activity that increases upper body strength, mental fitness and emotional wellbeing.
Korea Veterans Association of Canada Inc, Hamilton Region Unit 26 c/o Korea Veterans Association of Canada Inc. $16,000 over one year to publish a pictorial history book about Korea War veterans and educate the public about their place in history.
LEARN TO SAIL HAMILTON c/o Ontario Sailing Association $50,000 over six months to purchase new sail boats and safety boats for the Learn to Sail program, which is expected to train more than 3,000 young people in Hamilton over the next 10 years.
Lynden Co-operative Pre-School Inc. $40,000 over one year to make renovations to the kitchen and washrooms to improve conditions for children aged 18 months to 5 years and their families at this rural pre-school facility.
Saltfleet Figure Skating Club Inc $9,600 over one year to purchase coaches uniforms and equipment that will assist the Stoney Creek club to expand its programming to children and young adults and increase its amateur volunteer coaching program.
Theatre Ancaster $49,000 over a year to provide a youth mentoring program and to purchase production rights and other equipment required to produce musical theatre at the Old Fire Hall in Ancaster.
Threshold School of Building, The $130,000 over two years to support this Hamilton organization that provides training in the construction business for at-risk youth and the general public through hands-on experience renovating homes for low-income families.
Volunteer Action Centre of Hamilton and District $79,000 over two years to install and conduct training sessions on a new database that will assist the organization in volunteer management, identifying community volunteer opportunities and creating referrals.
Woodview Children's Centre - Hamilton $92,900 over two years to provide basic employment and/or skills training for people with autism.

Ancaster Society for the Performing Arts $31,000 over five years to produce a weekly summer concert series at the Fieldcote Park and Museum, benefiting local musicians and performers.
Brott Music Festival $120,000 over three year to assist the organization in developing a plan to raise funds that will support the Hamilton organization and its education and outreach programs.
Catholic Family Services of Hamilton-Wentworth $26,400 over nine months to develop a business plan and capital strategy for St. Martin’s Manor, which provides health, social and residential programs to pregnant teens.
Community Information Service (Hamilton-Wentworth) $22,400 over one year to assist in developing a more effective referral service, which will reduce health and social services costs and improve access to information for people in Hamilton and the surrounding area.
Environment Hamilton Incorporated $24,000 over 10 months to support the Tree Count Project, which trains volunteers to monitor tree health and protect the urban forest.
Hamilton-Wentworth Green Venture $35,000 over one year to promote EcoHouse, a hands-on facility that shows individuals effective ways to reduce household utility costs and improve the environmental health and efficiency of their homes.
Immigrant Culture & Art Association $130,000 over three years to mentor immigrant artists and support a cultural art program for immigrant children in downtown and East Hamilton.
Rosedale Minor Hockey Association $46,200 over one year to purchase hockey equipment for use by children and youth aged 3 to 18 from low-income families in East Hamilton.
St. John Ambulance Hamilton-Wentworth Branch c/o St. John Council for Ontario $100,000 over three years to recruit and train more volunteers, which will result in people trained for emergency situations, saving lives and reducing health care costs.
Stoney Creek Senior's Outreach Service $11,200 over one year to purchase snow throwers that will assist seniors with regular snow removal, which will support them in remaining independent in their own homes.
Stoney Creek Seniors Club 60 c/o Older Adults Centres Association of Ontario $4,500 over six months to purchase sound system equipment for the club, which provides over 30 concerts each year in senior centres and in the community.
Stoney Creek Soccer Club Inc. $26,800 over one year to renovate and equip the office, which will better serve the growing membership of the club that provides a safe, recreational family soccer environment for children.
United Way of Burlington & Greater Hamilton $50,000 over three years to deliver a professional development training opportunity to staff and volunteers of United Way funded agencies and other community organizations.
Wise Mind c/o Mental Health Rights Coalition of Hamilton-Wentworth $50,000 over three years to offer peer training opportunities and encourage a broader awareness of mental health issues in the Hamilton community.
