$20,500 over six months to purchase equipment for outdoor expeditions, hold citizenship functions and recruit new members, which will provide team-building, leadership, life and work skills to young people aged 12 to 18 years in Muskoka.

Association canadienne-française de l'Ontario, région Témiskaming
$13,800 to work with francophone not-for-profit groups to develop an interactive website, which will help promote various activities, events and services in the francophone community, increasing participation and involvement.

The Association for the Promotion of Arts, Recreation and Culture in South River Community
$16,200 over one year to complete construction of a disc golf course. This will attract visitors to the community, improve the local economy and provide residents with more access to outdoor recreation.

Bala United Church
$27,600 over one year to construct a new accessible kitchen to meet public health standards. This will provide a larger, better and safer facility where Bala community groups can prepare meals and hold events.

Big Sisters Association of North Bay Inc.
$44,000 over two years for supplies and equipment to set up a Friendship Club, which will deliver healthy recreational programs for Little Sisters, Little Brothers and at-risk youth in North Bay and area.

'camera frontera' c/o White Water Gallery
$18,000 over two years to organize North Bay's first contemporary photography festival, which will include workshops, lectures and school visits. The event will attract tourists and provide arts enrichment opportunities for the community.

Canadian Mental Health Association, Nipissing Regional Branch
$28,000 over one year to recruit, screen, train and supervise volunteers, which will increase the organization’s outreach efforts.

Deepwater Regional Development Corp.
$18,000 over one year to develop business, fundraising and marketing plans for a proposed Centre of Arts and Innovation, which will encourage economic development, attract new residents and reduce youth migration from the South Temiskaming region.

EFAP/North - PAEF Nord (Nipissing District Assessment and Referral Service)
$23,900 over one year to purchase equipment for delivering presentations, promoting services and offering seminars and workshops, and renovate the facility in order to assist more people and improve the health of the community.

KidSport Timiskaming Chapter c/o Sport Alliance of Ontario
$37,300 over one year to set up and promote the KidSport Program, which will give children aged 6 to 18 years in the Kirkland Lake area greater access to recreation and physical activity, encouraging healthy, active and successful lifestyles.

Kirkland Lake Brass Band
$31,000 over two years to purchase brass instruments. This will provide quality musical experiences, especially for young people in the area and give the community a source of recreation and entertainment.

Mattawa and Area Snowmobile Club
$24,000 over one year to develop trails, attract volunteers, build membership and promote the club. This will help enhance the area’s economy and provide healthy outdoor winter recreation for the community.

Mattawa and District Walleye Stocking
$24,500 over one year to replace outdated equipment, install an electrical connection and improve landscaping at the fish hatchery. This will maintain a healthy walleye fishery in the area and increase volunteer involvement.

Mattawa Women's Resource Centre
$37,800 over one year to survey stakeholders to better understand the changing needs of the centre’s extended client group. This will enable the development of better resources and workshops, helping more women and families in the community.

Municipality of Powassan
$25,000 over one year to beautify a community park and hold a homecoming celebration as part of the 100th anniversary of the former Town of Powassan. This will attract tourism and positively impact the economy of the area.

Muskoka Community Futures Development Corporation
$26,000 over one year to create and deliver self-employment workshops, launch a mentorship program and enhance the Business Resource Centre. This will help young adults aged 18 to 30 years develop business skills and foster enterprise in the area.

Muskoka Inventory Group c/o Muskoka Heritage Foundation
$49,000 over 18 months to carry out an analysis of the land systems as part of a comprehensive inventory of the Muskoka River watershed. This will identify and help protect natural areas, supporting tourism and recreation in the region.

Muskoka/Parry Sound Coordinated Sexual Assault Services
$150,000 over three years to increase the sustainable capacity of three weekly drop-in programs for rural women and their children, provide support and education through workshops and assist with transportation and childcare.

Nipissing Naturalists' Club
$13,000 over one year to purchase equipment for presentations and displays, which will modernize this environmental club. This will promote wildlife education and interest in natural resources, attracting new and younger members from the community.

North Bay and District Sledge Hockey Association
$16,100 over one year to purchase equipment and secure ice time, allowing children with physical disabilities to play exhibition games with able-bodied peers, encouraging interaction and increasing community awareness of the sport.

North Bay District Girls Hockey Association
$24,000 over one year to furnish an office staffed by volunteers, purchase equipment and develop marketing strategies to attract local sponsors. This will help promote sports, team play and healthy activity for girls of all ages in the community.

North Bay Tennis Club
$8,000 over one year to repair two junior tennis courts, which will improve their safety, enable greater use of them by young people, attract new members to the sport and promote healthy active living in the community.

Rockwalk Park Inc.
$28,800 over two years to install signage and increase the number and type of massive rock specimens in this Haileybury-area exhibit. Public interest in geology will increase, promoting education, recreation and appreciation for mineral deposits.

Rotary Club of Bracebridge
$40,000 over one year to help create an accessible community garden. It will attract visitors, provide activity and give enjoyment to seniors, children, residents of the nearby long-term care facility and people with disabilities in the community.

Temagami Community Foundation
$25,000 over one year to cover for staffing and operating costs as part of a five-year strategy to create a sustainable endowment fund to cover grants and operating costs.

Women's Own Resource Centre
$27,000 over three years to enable this South River resource centre to develop and implement the Sustainable Livelihoods Model, which will help women and their families in rural areas gain economic independence.

$25,400 over one year to purchase musical instruments and equipment for the renovated Huntsville Train Station, now the permanent home of a school offering quality music education to children in Muskoka.

Lake of Bays Marine Museum and Navigation Society
$50,000 over one year to restore the Bigwin Steamship as an attraction for Dorset area residents and visitors touring Lake of Bays.

Nipissing Transition House
$18,000 over one year to support this North Bay shelter for abused women in undertaking SafetyNet 2005, a training program that effectively addresses issues of domestic violence.

North Bay Canoe Club
$20,300 over one year to purchase a new boat trailer and to repair and upgrade a community facility at Olmsteach Beach on Trout Lake so that area youth will continue to benefit from canoeing and kayaking activities.

The North Bay Literacy Council
$29,200 over one year to enhance services by upgrading its website, providing students with more tutoring support and offering a summer reading program.

Timiskaming Kids on the Block Community Friends c/o Centre de santé communautaire du Temiskaming
$24,900 over three years to support Timiskaming Kids on the Block in offering area youth educational puppet performances that foster teamwork, responsibility and respect for others.

Wasi Cross Country Ski Club Inc.
$24,300 over one year to purchase equipment and make improvements to the trails that will enable Callander area residents and tourists to enjoy outdoor recreational activities throughout the year.

Burk's Falls and District Food Bank
$17,700 over one year to renovate and furnish a larger, more accessible facility for the Food Bank to provide better service to those in need in the community.

Centre communautaire de Lavigne Community Centre
$25,000 over one year to build a new stage with background and front drapes and a new lighting system to accommodate the increasing demand for community and touring productions.

Commanda Community Centre
$17,400 over six months to replace windows, lighting and flooring and to upgrade siding and insulation to improve conditions at this popular community centre, which is the only heated public building in the area.

Corporation of the Town of Bracebridge
$37,200 over one year to carry out renovations to the players' benches at the Bracebridge Memorial Arena to address safety concerns and increase players’ ease in getting on and off the ice.

Corporation of the Town of Latchford
$6,900 to repair the roof and ceiling of the House of Memories Museum, which houses memorabilia, antiques and family heirlooms donated by area residents.

Corporation of the Township of Joly
$6,600 to build accessible paths and install accessible washrooms and change rooms, picnic tables and garbage and recycling receptacles to create a well-maintained and accessible beach and park at Lynch Lake Beach near Sundridge.

Georgian Nordic Ski & Canoe Club
$24,500 over one year to purchase equipment for trail maintenance, ski rentals and to improve drinking water quality in the clubhouse to attract more skiers to the Parry Sound area club.

Huntsville Community Choir
$6,500 over one year to expand the choir’s musical programming to include more complicated and sophisticated works that will help attract more audiences, singers and support.

Mattawa and Area Youth Centre
$20,100 to repair the roof and ceiling so that the centre can continue to provide recreational and educational programs to local youth.

Municipality of West Nipissing
$16,300 over six months to purchase skateboard equipment for a portable skateboard park that will provide recreational facilities for youth of seven area communities.

Muskoka Lakes Music Festival
$73,800 over two years to expand Kaleidoscope in the Schools, an arts education program for children in the Muskoka area that links schools with professional artists in the community and develops cross-curriculum based art education resources.

Near North Crime Stoppers Inc.
$35,000 over one year to assist the North Bay organization in promoting the work of Crime Stoppers’ programs by producing and marketing a colouring book aimed at making children and youth more aware of the importance of fighting crime.

New Liskeard Agricultural Society
$20,000 over one year to upgrade the fair grounds to improve safety at events such as the fall fair and to make the grounds more attractive, helping to promote tourism to the area.

Nipissing District Community Home Ownership Action Group
$40,000 over two years to assist the organization in developing safe, secure, affordable rent-to-own housing for North Bay families in need.

Parry Sound Station Gallery
$20,700 over one year to improve and promote the gallery through signage and advertising, proper preservation of artworks and professional treatment of artists in order to attract more tourists and local residents.

Timiskaming First Nation
$23,800 over one year to establish a cultural drop-in centre for native and non-native youth attending high school in the Timiskaming Shores area and to provide traditional Algonquin arts and cultural activities to all those interested.

Timiskaming Historical and Zoological Society of Northern Ontario
$24,400 over one year to revitalize the Timiskaming Wildlife Centre in Earlton and to promote the natural heritage site to local schools, naturalists, First Nations and tourists.

Village of Sundridge
$27,800 over one year to install new playground equipment, picnic tables and benches and plant trees in the village’s waterfront park to provide more opportunity for healthy outdoor recreational activities for local residents and visitors.

$28,000 over one year to purchase gym equipment so that more children and youth in Huntsville can participate in quality fitness programs in a safe, competitive facility.

Almaguin Highlands Community Living
$31,800 over one year for renovations to the Sundridge facility that will improve access for people with disabilities and older adults. Increased accessibility will allow more people to participate in programs and activities held in the centre.

Bala Curling Club
$40,000 over one year to replace the walls and roof surrounding the club’s ice surface to make the building safer and easier to maintain, ensuring the community can continue to enjoy recreational curling.

Bracebridge Soccer Club
$24,400 to install lighting in the multi-field complex so that soccer can be played at night. This will give more youth in the area an opportunity to play and will allow the community to host more tournaments and games with other communities.

Community Living Huntsville
$10,000 over one year to increase awareness and understanding of individuals with developmental disabilities by sponsoring a two-day educational conference for youth and their families, educators, business partners and community service providers.

Consortium to Support the Communication Development of Nonspeaking Persons c/o Blissymbolics Learning Centre-Muskoka
$24,000 over one year to convert a van to accommodate people with disabilities travelling to the learning centre in Bala. This will enable the centre to remain open year-round and allow more nonspeaking people to benefit from its programs.

Corporation Garderie Bouton d'or Timiskaming
$13,700 over one year to train staff and purchase new equipment and furnishings to provide quality French-language daycare to families in New Liskeard.

Corporation of the Township of Gauthier
$5,700 to create a skateboarding park to give children and adults in the community a physical activity that will contribute to their well-being and to build a stronger volunteer base in the community.

Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre
$24,000 over nine months to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of theatrical productions for children by children through administrative upgrading and the purchase of theatrical equipment by this children’s theatre company in North Bay.

Ducks Unlimited Canada
$25,000 over one year to develop and implement a coastal wetlands conservation program in Parry Sound and to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of this habitat through civic involvement and stewardship.

East Ferris Fitness Association
$16,000 over one year to purchase cardiovascular exercise equipment to meet the needs of the growing membership and to offer fitness programs for underserved youth in the Township of East Ferris.

Family, Youth and Child Services of Muskoka
$25,000 over one year to broaden and increase prevention and intervention programs such as Community Justice Circles and mentoring programs for children, youth and families of youth at risk in Muskoka District.

Gravenhurst Skating Club Inc.
$12,100 over one year to increase membership and strengthen the skating club's profile in order to provide affordable and accessible skating programs for children of all levels of ability.

Lake Nipissing Stewardship Council (LNSC)
$89,500 over two years to expand public education and awareness about the council and the importance of preserving the health of the lake through a series of public seminars and workshops.

Literacy Network Northeast
$59,000 over two years to implement a one-stop bilingual literacy referral and assessment service for adults returning to school in South Timiskaming.

Mattawa and District Horticultural Society
$22,200 to build a wooden walkway in Park Mattawan to provide access to the waterfront and park facilities for seniors, mothers with strollers and people with disabilities.

Muskoka Literacy Council
$30,000 over three years to create a stakeholder database, establish connections with key stakeholders and conduct a public awareness campaign to raise the agency's profile and increase understanding of literacy issues in Muskoka.

North Bay & District Association for Community Living
$26,300 over one year to conduct a large scale awareness campaign to increase knowledge about the needs of people with developmental disabilities and the services provided by the agency.

North Bay Area Museum Society
$86,300 over three years to facilitate the merger of the museum, the Heritage Railway and Carousel with the Heritage Gardeners through training and better use of the more than 700 active volunteers.

North Bay Kiwanis Festival of Music and Dance
$20,000 over three years to improve the festival through enhanced training and development opportunities for youth, instructors and participants and strengthening infrastructure and volunteer support through a marketing and fundraising campaign.

North Bay Tennis Club
$10,000 over one year to repair and resurface two of the tennis courts to improve safety and increase participation in this community club, which offers recreational play and instructional programs for all ages.

Rapport Singers of North Bay
$16,000 over three years to increase the visibility and diversity of this volunteer-run choir by developing and maintaining a website, purchasing music for concerts and community events and increased publicity.

South River Curling Club
$20,600 over one year to repair the club’s roof and install a dehumidifier to provide curlers with safer conditions and better quality ice surface.

South River Friendly Circle Senior Citizens
$6,200 over one year to repair the roof of the seniors’ club to provide a well-heated and comfortable environment for seniors' activities and programs. The building is also used as an emergency shelter and a meeting place for many local groups.

Strong Agricultural Society
$22,500 over one year to renovate a 100-year-old log heritage house and sheep shed in Sundridge to promote the community’s rich agricultural heritage and demonstrate agricultural and pioneering skills to visitors.

Temagami Stewardship Council
$30,000 over one year to support the Spawning Shoal Project identifying, locating and evaluating lake trout and pickerel spawning areas in Lake Temagami. This will provide valuable information to enhance the fishery of the lake.

Temiskaming District Assessment and Resource Service
$22,000 to improve the professional look of this wellness assessment and resource service, present quality presentations on health and well-being in the workplace, and purchase office and presentation equipment for the Englehart office.

Town of Huntsville
$25,000 over six months to begin restoration of the heritage Huntsville Canadian National Railway Station with the purchase and installation of a new heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.

Trout Creek Seniors Friendship Club c/o United Senior Citizens of Ontario Inc.
$6,900 over one year to purchase appliances, furnishings and an outdoor sign to revitalize the club for current members and to attract young seniors as new members.
