$37,000 over one year to develop and implement a strategic plan, which will increase the organization’s ability to attract volunteers and grow and diversify its revenue base so it can better provide volunteer programs and services to the community.

The Gillies Community Centre
$26,600 over six months to construct a wheelchair ramp and build an accessible washroom, which will make the community centre in South Gillies more accessible to people with disabilities.

Lac Seul First Nation
$23,000 over one year for improvements to an outdoor rink facility, which will enable outdoor recreation activities for children and youth in the community and neighbouring towns, and encourage healthy active lifestyles.

Magnus Theatre Company Northwest Incorporated
$200,200 over four years to develop strategic and funding plans, attract and train volunteers and establish administrative processes, which will support the provision of quality theatre to people in Thunder Bay and region.

Red Lake Area Emergency Shelter Corporation
$35,000 over one year to develop a resource and fund-development strategy and attract volunteers, which will support emergency shelter services and address issues of homelessness for men and women in the Red Lake District.

Sioux Lookout Anti-Racism Committee
$99,000 over three years to develop and implement a five-year plan, which will improve the organization’s ability to attract volunteers and provide anti-racism programming and communications in the community and region.

Stratton Recreation Society
$30,000 over six months for renovations and furnishings to improve the accessibility of the recreation centre, which will increase its use by people with disabilities, allowing it to better provide recreational and cultural programs in the community.

The Thunder Bay National Exhibition Centre and Centre for Indian Art
$200,000 over three years to develop plans and strategies to improve fundraising, achieve targets and increase the involvement of first nations people, which will ensure the gallery continues to be a cultural resource for citizens in the community and region.

Thunder Bay Boys & Girls Club
$31,000 over one year for mobile skate-park equipment, which will allow the club to provide recreational programming to children aged 4 to 18 years in under-serviced neighbourhoods in the community and region.

Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding Association
$37,500 over one year to purchase equipment and horses and upgrade the indoor riding facility, which will improve safety, attract volunteers and allow better therapeutic riding programs to be provided to more people with disabilities in the community.

Longlac Tsuruoka Karate Do Inc.
$12,000 over one year to purchase new equipment so that community members of all ages will continue to have access to training programs that promote active, healthy lifestyles.

Marathon Curling Club
$24,900 over six months for renovations to upgrade this community facility in order to continue to provide valued curling programs to youth and adults.

Marathon Figure Skating Club
$5,000 over one year to purchase equipment that will enhance recreational and competitive skating programs for children and youth in the community.

Superior Eagles AAA Midget Hockey Club
$18,000 over one year to support a newly established regional hockey team in Marathon, which will enable area youth to develop competitive hockey skills while remaining in their home communities.

Thunder Bay Autosport Club 1967 Inc.
$51,000 over one year to purchase equipment that will make this popular winter outdoor sport activity safer and more enjoyable for community members and tourists.

Thunder Bay Big Brother Big Sister Association Inc.
$150,000 over three years to enhance a mentoring program for children at risk and develop a plan to ensure the organization’s sustainability.

$9,000 over one year to purchase ringette equipment and training materials to provide a healthy and safe winter sport for young girls in the community.

Kenora Curling Club
$75,000 over one year to upgrade the facility to reduce energy costs and ensure continued curling opportunities for youth, adult and seniors.

Rainy River First Nations Manitou Rapids
$25,000 over seven months to help present the 2005 Man-O-Min Watershed Conference, Gidakiiminaan - Our Earth, focusing on the environmental sustainability of the Rainy River basin.

Schreiber Terrace Bay Adult Learning Program
$43,100 over one year to establish on-line and computer-assisted learning and literacy programs to promote independence and lifelong learning for adult participants in the communities of Terrace Bay, Schreiber, Rossport and Pays Plat.

Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra Association
$24,700 over seven months to support Musical Bridges, a project to develop a greater diversity of audience members by providing programming for youth, rural families and senior citizens.

Wasaya WeeCheeWayWin Incorporation
$34,000 over one year to assess the social, recreational, educational and employment needs of youth in eight remote First Nation communities in Kenora District and to develop community specific action plans.

Anishinaabeg of Kabapikotawangag Resource Council Inc.
$20,000 to develop a watershed management plan that will increase awareness of watershed issues, natural resource preservation and development in six First Nation communities on Lake of the Woods.

Eagle Lake First Nation
$20,000 to deliver a wilderness camping program in Migisi Sahgaigan that promotes intergenerational healing between elders and youth through the teaching of traditional survival skills.

Founder's Museum Thunder Bay Inc
$23,700 to catalogue and appraise all the museum’s artifacts according to Ontario Museum Standards, enhancing its ability to improve programming and attract more visitors.

$30,000 over six months to provide a safe, affordable outdoor recreation space available for year round use by youth and residents in the community.

The Corporation of the Township of O'Connor
$33,000 over six months to improve an outdoor recreation space that provides year round programs and activities for youth in the community.

Corporation of the Township of Terrace Bay
$25,000 to create a skateboard park that will provide youth with a safe environment for recreational skateboarding and for local and regional competitions.

Dryden Ice Dogs Hockey Club
$37,000 over two years to provide a safe, healthy learning environment for youth to develop competitive hockey skills and to support players as volunteers in the community and role models for local youth.

Harbour Youth Services of Thunder Bay
$43,000 over one year to support the Kids Come First Club, an after school prevention program that provides a safe and nurturing environment for at-risk children in an inner-city school area.

Ignace Golf and Country Club
$26,000 over six months to purchase equipment and renovate the facility to provide high quality, affordable golf for residents of Ignace and surrounding areas and for tourists.

Kingfisher Lake Socio-Economic Development Corporation
$40,000 over one year for arena improvements to make it accessible and increase community participation at events.

Lakehead Aeromodellers
$7,300 over six months to purchase a grass cutting tractor for property maintenance in Thunder Bay and to assist in strategic planning for increasing membership and raising funds.

North Shore Harvest Cupboard
$40,000 over five years to renovate the food bank facilities and to establish a clothing depot for people in need in five small area communities.

Northwestern Ontario Conservation Partnership c/o Rainy Lake Conservancy
$48,900 over two years to establish an interpretative bog walk and conservation program office in Fort Frances to increase conservation and preservation of the area's natural heritage, benefiting both residents and tourists.

St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church
$75,000 over one year to install accessible washrooms in the soup kitchen facility, which provides daily meals to people in need.
