Calton Community Centre $41,300 over one year to renovate the community centre and make accessibility improvements.
Delaware Lions Charitable Foundation $50,000 over one year to develop an outdoor hockey facility to be used for ball hockey in the summer and ice hockey in the winter.
The Elgin, Middlesex, Oxford Training Board $38,000 over one year to expand the Skills London Oxford Middlesex Elgin program that allows youth to have direct hands-on experience with a range of real-world businesses.
Encore the Concert Band $22,800 over one year to purchase new percussion instruments that will enhance the overall performance of this greater-London-area band.
Forest City School for Talent Education $16,600 over one year to improve the educational opportunities for students in this arts education program by purchasing new instruments and enhancing their musical library.
Future Athletic Opportunities Conference c/o London Sports Council $13,500 over one year to fund a one-day conference on October 22, 2006 for girls in the London area who are involved in high-school sports and plan to continue their athletic involvement in a post-secondary environment.
Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Community of London & Vicinity $50,000 over six months to improve the soccer field, encouraging greater participation in physical activity in the community.
London Committee for Cross Cultural Arts Inc. $77,000 over two years to assist the organization’s Sunfest continued growth and to relaunch the Fiesta Del Sol Latin festival providing diverse musical experiences and an economic driver for the area.
London Fanshawe Symphonic Chorus $40,000 over one year to hold the In Good Company event, which celebrates London women's contributions to the arts.
London Regional Art and Historical Museum (operating as Museum London) $55,400 over one year to hire a curator of public programming, who will engage diverse audiences within the community.
London Regional Children's Museum $146,500 over three years to develop a new permanent exhibit, True North Strong and Free, providing educational opportunities about the Arctic.
Lucan Biddulph Skate Project c/o Township of Lucan Biddulph $40,000 over six months to develop a new skate park, which will create a more safe location for youth to skate and ride BMX bikes.
Optimist Club of Ilderton $40,000 over one year to facilitate the development of a skate park facility for children and youth to skateboard, use in-line skates and ride BMX bicycles.
Oxford County Library Board $37,800 over one year to provide barrier-free shelving in most areas of the library. Funding will also increase the Dutch collection and develop a children's discovery area to better service the community.
Oxford Professional Development in Woman Abuse Project c/o Women's Emergency Centre, Oxford $156,500 over three years to provide community education and raise awareness of the abuse of women.
Port Glasgow Yacht Club $56,000 over one year to build docking facilities at the marina, providing individuals, including those with disabilities, with easier access to their boats and increasing the recreational potential of the area.
Rowbust Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Racing Society $24,300 over one year to purchase a dragon boat and related equipment to facilitate expansion of the organization.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 410 $47,100 over one year to install a new energy-efficient heating and cooling system in the legion building in Port Stanley. This will ensure its continued viability and enhance its ability to host social and recreational activities in the community.
South Norwich Historical Society $17,200 over one year to publish 1,000 copies of a book about black history in Oxford County from 1830 to present, in order to increase awareness about community history.
Southern First Nations Secretariat $37,500 over one year to implement holistic and sustainable programming for youth in eight First Nations in Southwestern Ontario. This will provide more opportunities to participate in sports, cultural events and learning about heritage. (An additional grant of $37,500 in Essex-Kent-Lambton will support this initiative.)
Street Connection $25,000 over one year for a new central heating and air conditioning unit for this drop-in centre for street youth in the London area.
Thames Talbot Land Trust $57,000 over two years to increase the trust’s organizational capacity by providing strategic staff. They will support the current volunteers, leading to a stable and sustainable funding base for this organization serving the Thames River area.
Thames Valley Trail Association $4,000 to create and install interpretive signage along the Thames River Trail, increasing understanding and awareness of the natural environment.
They Had A Stroke (Lo Ti Ya'Dayeha: O) c/o Oneida of the Thames $10,000 over one year to offer support to stroke survivors and their families of the Oneida Nation, on and off reserve.
Township of South-West Oxford $25,000 over one year to assess the feasibility of building a hiking trail along the Thames River in the Township of South-West Oxford between Woodstock and Beachville.
Township of Southwold $30,000 over one year to replace the electrical system and exterior lights in the Keystone Complex grounds. This will result in energy-efficient units and cost savings for a safer outdoor recreation facility.
Tyrconnell Heritage Society $17,600 over two years to develop a website and hire a part-time curator, helping the organization increase its hours of operation. This will meet provincial community-museum standards, allowing increased access to the property in Dutton and Dunwich.
Urban League of London $74,300 over one year to continue the ReForest London program that began in January 2005 through the funding of salaries and project costs associated with the program.
West Elgin Genealogical and Historical Society $16,200 over one year to produce a second volume on the history of Dunwich Township. This will cover the years from 1803 to 1903, helping to increase knowledge of local community history.
Woodstock Fanshawe Singers $41,300 over one year to host Kaleid 06 Festival. Twelve youth choirs and 17 choral choirs will be brought together with a professional Finnish choir for a five-day festival that includes workshops and concerts.

AIDS Committee of London $30,000 over one year for support and prevention services that are culturally and linguistically appropriate for people from African and Caribbean countries who are at risk of infection or are infected with HIV/AIDS.
Ailsa Craig Skatepark Committee c/o Ailsa Craig & District Lion's Club $25,000 over one year to purchase professionally built skatepark equipment with a 15 to 20 year lifespan for this community park.
Bayham Culture Committee c/o Municipality of Bayham $75,000 over one year to implement the second phase of the Bayham Cultural Plan to maximize the social, environmental and economic benefits of the community’s cultural and heritage resources.
Brassroots $37,600 over three years to obtain services and support a program that will assist this community brass ensemble to increase its volunteer and audience base.
Childreach Centre $14,000 over eight months to purchase supplies and equipment for the creation of exterior murals to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Childreach in London, involving young volunteers and helping to showcase the work of young artists.
Elgin County Library Board Belmont branch $4,100 over six months to purchase and install automatic door openers at the Belmont branch of the Elgin County Library, and make it fully accessible to all members of the community.
Elgin County Library Board Dutton branch $4,700 to purchase library furniture and fixtures for children that will make the Dutton branch of the Elgin County Library accessible, uniform and contemporary.
Elgin County Library Board Shedden branch $1,700 to purchase puppets, a listening centre and a rug for the community children's centre at the Shedden Branch of the Elgin County Library.
Elgin County Library Board Springfield branch $2,400 to install automatic door openers at the Springfield branch of the Elgin County Library, making it fully accessible.
Elgin Rowing Club $27,000 to purchase two boats and provide greater access to the sport of rowing for high school students and adults in Elgin County.
Forest City Velodrome Association $49,000 over one year to assist this new bicycle racing track organization to operate facilities and clinics while growing its membership base in London.
Forest City Volleyball Club $39,800 over one year to purchase needed quality equipment, which will help improve the activity levels and skills of the club’s growing membership in London.
Hospice of London Inc. $75,000 over two years to improve the organization’s fund development capacity, develop marketing and promotional materials and raise awareness of Hospice in the community.
Jabez Therapy Ranch $22,500 over six months to purchase horse shelters and equipment and provide and maintain a safe and comfortable therapeutic setting for special needs children in Elgin County.
Kinsmen Sugar Bush Project c/o Craigwood Youth Services $34,100 over two years to renovate and upgrade facilities and promote the tour component of the maple syrup experience, helping to increase attendance at the venue, the number of tours provided and the amount of syrup produced.
The London and Middlesex Heritage Museum $100,000 over two years to develop a campaign strategy, marketing and promotional tools, attract funding and create ongoing sustainability for the pioneer village.
London Anti-Bullying Coalition $4,400 over one year to hold a conference for educators, parents and community members dedicated to the issue of bullying and finding strategies to reduce it.
London Canadian Film Festival $15,000 over three years to increase promotion of the festival and bring more Canadian actors and directors to London for their film screenings.
London Potters Guild $65,000 over two years to obtain the strategy development skills and resources needed to establish a clay arts centre in London.
London Rhythmic Gymnastics Club $16,700 to purchase equipment, train coaches and advertise in order to increase the numbers of young people participating in the sport.
Middlesex Community Living $56,000 over six months to purchase and install an elevator and pushbutton door openers for the ground floor, which will improve accessibility and use of the building for community groups in Strathroy.
Nokee Kwe Occupational Skill Development Inc. $52,200 over one year to obtain resources and equipment that will assist Nokee Kwe in London to diversify their revenue sources, raise awareness of the organization and become more self-reliant.
Original Kids Theatre Company $29,600 over one year to purchase modernized lighting and sound systems and supplies, which will improve the performance of this London company and enhance audience enjoyment.
Oxford Child & Youth Centre $47,400 over two years to raise awareness and develop funds to support community programs for children in Oxford County who are waiting for services from this centre.
Oxford Community Foundation $57,900 over two years to increase the capacity of the organization by providing a portion of the salary for staff support, enabling it to develop a strategic plan and raise endowment funds.
Polish Combatants' Association in Canada Inc. Branch No. 2, London $31,300 over six months to replace aging doors and windows and subsequently lower power consumption in this hall that provides meeting facilities for many different groups.
No. 9 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps (London) c/o The Army Cadet League of Canada Ontario $30,000 over two years for musical instruments and instruction for the pipe band, which will help increase the number of young people involved in the cadets’ music program.
St. Thomas Ringette Association c/o Ontario Ringette Association $8,000 over two years to implement a comprehensive ringette entry level program, geared to children aged 4 to 7 years in the St. Thomas area.
St. Thomas Seniors' Centre $5,300 to purchase kitchen equipment in order for the centre to provide nutritious and economical meals to seniors.
Serenity House Hospice $66,000 over two years for programs, equipment and volunteer training to enable the hospice to relieve suffering and improve the quality of life of Elgin County residents living with, or dying from, advanced illnesses.
The Sexual Assault Centre London $23,500 over one year for a diversity researcher to assist the agency in developing strategies to become better connected with specific populations in London.
Tillsonburg District Craft Guild $40,000 over one year to promote and operate the Metal Fest celebration by providing funding for a project manager who will generate awareness and sustainability of the festival through targeted outreach and fundraising.
Unity Project for Relief of Homelessness in London $40,000 over one year for building renovations needed to ensure a safer and better functioning facility that supports self-help for people who are struggling to escape or avoid homelessness.
When the Crying Gets To You c/o Children's Aid Society of London and Middlesex $35,000 over one year to develop and place radio ads to raise awareness of the Reduce Infant Abuse campaign.
The Woodstock Choralaires $18,500 over one year to purchase a custom trailer for transporting equipment and produce a CD, which will help create stability for the Woodstock Choralaires.
Woodstock Cricket Club $45,000 over one year to renovate the clubhouse and make it fully accessible and purchase equipment, helping to increase membership and promote physical activity through the sport of cricket.

2006 World Lacrosse London Corp. $15,000 over 18 months to support the marketing of the 2006 World Lacrosse Championships to be held in London July 15 to 21, 2006. (An additional grant of $132,500 from the Province-Wide Program will support this activity.)
Alzheimer Society Elgin-St. Thomas $27,000 over one year to hire a Connection to Care project coordinator to develop a comprehensive volunteer facilitators’ program to provide essential dementia education and support programs for Elgin-St. Thomas residents.
Belmont Lions Club $37,500 over one year to begin developing a horticultural park located on Main Street in Belmont.
Boys' & Girls' Club of London $50,000 over one year to retrofit the old swimming pool making it more accessible for seniors and children.
Canada Southern Railroad Station c/o North America Railway Hall of Fame $50,000 over one year to aid in the roof replacement at the Heritage Canada Southern Railway Station in St. Thomas, which will house the North American Railway Hall of Fame.
Child Abuse Prevention Council of London and Middlesex c/o Children's Aid Society of London and Middlesex $12,500 over one year for resources at the Caring Community Collection, a multimedia resource collection with information about child abuse and maltreatment prevention for community use.
Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Council $6,700 for a youth language camp and homecoming/drumming festival signage to advance the indigenous cultural activities of the Chippewas of the Thames.
Clachan Women's Institute c/o Federated Women's Institute of Ontario $15,300 over one year for renovations to the Clachan Community Hall in West Elgin, which will make it fully accessible and more extensively used by the community. (An additional grant of $15,300 from Essex, Kent and Lambton will support this activity.)
Club Cartier $25,000 over six months to renovate the facilities of this Woodstock-area Francophone club for accessibility. Improvements include an access ramp, widened doorways and accessible washrooms.
Drumbo Agricultural Society $75,000 over one year to make Drumbo Agricultural Society's main hall fully accessible for all community members.
Elgin-St. Thomas Youth Employment Counselling Centre $40,000 over one year to improve the current kitchen-training facility at this youth centre, enabling the delivery of food services training programs and the development of life skills.
Forest City Gallery $73,000 over two years for renovations to this London art gallery, so it can improve and expand programming to better serve their audiences.
Friends Of The Coves Subwatershed Inc. $110,000 over two years to implement The Coves Watershed plans in the heart of South London, particularly the recommendations regarding improving water quality and wildlife habitat by stopping erosion.
The Friends of Ye Olde Towne Hall $54,800 over six months to install a lift to the second-floor theatre, making the Olde Towne Hall building more accessible to North Middlesex community members.
Hamilton Road Community Association $29,900 over two years for the St. Julien Community Festival and a storytelling project that will preserve the history of the Hamilton Road area of London community.
Harrington Community & Historical Preservation Club Inc. $70,800 over one year in order to repair the 1880s grist mill’s foundation walls, making it operational and usable as an educational resource and a source of tourism and of pride in the Embro area.
The Independent Living Centre London & Area $5,500 over six months to create an access guide to London, which will contain information about the accessibility features of the major hotels, restaurants, theatres, entertainment venues and businesses in the core area of the city.
Innerkip Community Lawn Bowling Club, Drop-In Centre and Resource Centre $16,400 to install an automatic irrigation system, replace greens equipment and purchase bowls for youth, which will help to maintain greens and equipment for all community members.
Iron Horse Festival of St. Thomas $15,000 over one year for marketing and promotions to increase awareness of the Iron Horse Festival and to purchase a portable stage for its use.
London Abused Women's Centre $42,000 over two years to provide outreach contact, safety planning and off-site support for abused women, increasing the number of women helped and educated about abusive relationships.
London Choral Foundation $54,000 over two years to build the capacity to develop and manage the choir's growth and expansion.
The London Co-op Store $4,000 over one year for a label-printing scale to assist in the weighing of bulk purchases, which will improve efficiency and provide more opportunities for members to participate and contribute to the co-op.
London Occupational Safety and Health $50,000 over two years to develop the capacity of the Student Teaching Project to become a year-round program, providing workplace safety training to young people in the community.
London Ontario Pipe Band $20,000 over one year to purchase uniforms and instruments, enabling the band to continue increasing its number of public performances.
London Sports Council $76,000 over two years to hire staff to support the sporting and recreational activities of Londoners and to support London's sports tourism initiatives with skilled volunteers.
London Training Centre Inc. $69,000 over one year to develop and deliver foodservice and food-safety training services on a fee-for-service basis, fostering skills development and assisting people with their employment goals.
London Urban Services Organization $20,000 over six months to develop a strategic plan and a funding development strategy, which will help this organization provide settlement services, youth programs, literacy programs, etc.
Municipality of Thames Centre $15,000 over one year to install a spray park in the community park, providing recreation for greater numbers of children and families in the area.
My Sister's Place c/o London East Community Mental Health Services $43,000 over one year for staffing and program costs to provide a drop-in day centre for homeless women.
Participation House Project London Ontario $42,000 over two years to hire a co-ordinator to develop and implement a comprehensive plan to increase volunteers, supporting the social and recreational activities of residents with severe physical and/or developmental disabilities.
Pathways Skill Development and Placement Centre $40,000 over one year to develop an innovative website and process that brings together purchasers, suppliers and community trainers. This will increase employment for at-risk and hard-to-employ individuals.
Peacekeeper Park A Living Memorial $17,000 over one year for new camping equipment, which will increase summer camping opportunities and experiences for young people with disabilities in the Petrolia area.
Positive Leisure Activity for Youth c/o YWCA of St. Thomas-Elgin $14,900 over two years to provide greater numbers of children and youth with increased access to organized recreational activities through the PLAY Program.
Rotary Club of Aylmer Charitable Trust $20,000 to assist in the installation of a skateboard park in Aylmer.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 317, London $16,000 over one year to upgrade the washrooms in the legion hall, making the facilities more comfortable for the many community members who use the hall almost daily.
Royal Canadian Legion, Sir Arthur Currie Branch 116, Strathroy $15,000 over one year to renovate the auditorium, enhancing the hall that is used for community events.
School's Cool c/o Tillsonburg & District Association for Community Living $22,200 to implement the Oxford County School's Cool program, which will assist 60 preschoolers in becoming learning-ready for school.
Thames River Through Time Collaborative c/o London Regional Children's Museum $25,000 over six months to implement the Thames River Through Time Program, a special education program designed to teach Grade 4 students about the environmental history of the Thames River and how to become stewards of the Thames.
Thamesford Lawn Bowling Club Inc. $13,000 over one year to install a new irrigation and lighting systems, which will help to increase membership and increase the revenue base through facility rentals.
Theatre London, operating as The Grand Theatre $12,700 over one year to install a fully accessible barrier-free unisex washroom on the main floor, making the theatre more accessible to people with disabilities.
Town of Aylmer $22,000 over one year to purchase and install playground equipment in Kinsmen Park.
Township of Middlesex Centre $11,500 over one year to replace the roof on the Poplar Hill Log Cabin, one of the last log houses built in Lobo Township in 1869.
Township of Norwich $9,000 over six months to renovate the historic community hall, Woodlawn the Octagonal House, for use by residents of Otterville and area.
Women's Mental Health & Addictions Action and Research Coalition c/o Canadian Mental Health Association, London-Middlesex Branch $25,000 over eight months to finalize a pilot project, which introduces an abuse-screening protocol to front-line mental health and addictions service-providers.
