Cambridge Community Orchestra $27,200 over one year to develop an organizational business strategy and hire a part-time conductor, helping to build the capacity of the organization.
Cambridge Mental Health and Justice Committee c/o Canadian Mental Health Association, Waterloo Regional Branch $138,800 over two years to implement and evaluate integrated services to lead youth with mental health challenges towards relevant agencies and support in their community.
The Canadian Red Cross Society Waterloo-Wellington c/o The Canadian Red Cross, Ontario Zone Council $88,200 over two years to design a three-year volunteers strategy that will ensure more sustainable volunteer-leadership support for the Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph and Cambridge branches.
Christopher Champlain Community Centre $98,700 over three years to implement and assess a sustainable-livelihood approach that builds community and organizational capacities. This will help the centre provide better recreation and social programs to at-risk families in the Cambridge area.
Corporation of the Town of Minto $75,000 over six months to repair the roof of the Harriston Community Complex in order to maintain the facility for physical activity programs.
Dufferin Parent Support Network $36,400 over one year to develop and implement a plan for the strategic realignment of programs, partnerships and financial resources, ensuring the organization's ability to meet the needs of parents of school-aged children over the next five years.
Guelph Wrestling Club $49,000 over three years to purchase equipment and hire an administrator, which will support the organization in expanding programs for children, youth and adults and in meeting the increasing demand for programs in Guelph and Wellington counties.
Ignatius College $55,000 over one year to retrofit the Orchard Park building, which will reduce energy usage, helping to promote a sustainable environment at this Guelph-area centre that houses 51 charitable and not-for-profit organizations.
Ju-Lis Delights $15,000 over one year to investigate and assess the feasibility of expanding a social enterprise that provides employment opportunities to people with disabilities in Guelph.
Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery $80,000 over two years for a comprehensive research, marketing and analysis project to further develop the organization’s capacities. The project will create revenue-generating art education programs for targeted audiences in the community.
Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest $126,600 over three years to develop and implement a three-year volunteer recruitment and mentoring program to increase the effectiveness and sustainable capacity of this long-time Bavarian festival.
Kitchener-Waterloo Synchronized Swim Club $22,600 over one year to purchase sound and video equipment and provide training that will enable the organization to maintain physical activity programs for children, youth and adults in the tri-city area.
The Kitchener-Waterloo YMCA $187,000 over three years to create an assets-based culture by engaging volunteers, youth, staff and the community in programs to promote healthy individuals and a more vibrant community.
Lutherwood Community Opportunities Development Association (Lutherwood Child & Family Foundation) $47,700 over one year to upgrade and renovate the Betty Thompson Youth Centre in order to provide a more safe and healthy environment for homeless and at-risk youth in Kitchener-Waterloo.
Moving Forward Together c/o United Way of Cambridge and North Dumfries $80,000 over two years to implement priority actions emerging from phase one of a comprehensive community planning process, including partnership building, strategic planning and community engagement.
Optimist Club of New Dundee $34,300 over one year to build a retaining wall and deposit clean fill, which will improve the southeast-corner shoreline of Alder Lake. It will assist the organization in protecting the ecological quality of the waterfront for public use.
Region of Waterloo Swim Club $55,200 over six months to purchase equipment in order to assist the organization in maintaining quality swimming programs and enhancing the physical health and well-being of children and youth.
Spark of Brilliance c/o Community Mental Health Clinic $127,000 over 18 months to expand the Guelph-based initiative to the Dufferin area and conduct a comprehensive evaluation that will identify enablers of success, in order to help replicate the program in other communities.
Waterloo Region Immigrant Employment Network c/o Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce $195,000 over three years to support, market and provide staff resources for this multi-sectorial employment network. The network will increase recruitment and employment opportunities for immigrants in the area.
Wilmot Senior's Woodworking and Craft Club c/o The United Senior Citizens of Ontario Incorporated $50,000 over one year to purchase new machinery and equipment in order to ensure greater health, safety and enjoyment for seniors using this facility.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kitchener-Waterloo Area $160,900 over three years to expand the in-school mentoring program as one significant part of the organization's management strategy to support self-sustainability, enabling more children to receive the support needed to achieve academic success.
Cambridge Aquatic Club $11,800 over eight months to purchase land-training and pool equipment, which will benefit the club's members and over 1,000 children who use two public pools in Cambridge each week.
Centre Wellington Singers $8,500 over one year to host a special 10th anniversary concert, purchase equipment and increase audience participation and membership in this Fergus-area choir.
Community Justice Initiatives of Waterloo Region $75,000 over six months to purchase and install an elevator, which will make the building and offices fully accessible, increasing opportunities for persons with disabilities and mobility challenges to volunteer and receive services.
Contemporary Art Forum/Kitchener and Area (CAFKA) $79,400 over three years to develop and implement a strategic plan and effective fundraising strategy, helping this forum for local, national and international artists increase educational and volunteer outreach and achieve future sustainability.
Corporation of the Township of East Luther Grand Valley $10,800 to purchase a digital microform reader and laser printer, which will allow students to have access to local history at the Grand Valley Public Library.
The Dufferin Social Prosperity Project c/o Community Living Dufferin $42,000 over 14 months to design, test and implement a grassroots prosperity action plan, mobilizing community leaders and rural citizens across eight townships to increase the social prosperity of Dufferin County.
Dufferin-Caledon Habitat for Humanity $37,500 over one year to start a ReStore, which will generate funds for the affiliate's home building program. (An additional grant of $37,500 in Halton-Peel will support this initiative.)
East Wellington Advisory Group for Family Services $60,400 over 18 months to purchase equipment, provide expertise and implement an internal and community assessment strategy, which will provide the framework to build organizational and community capacity in Erin.
Family Counselling Centre of Cambridge and North Dumfries $75,000 over eight months to renovate the agency's old stone building and install a ramp in order to ensure that clients with disabilities can access counselling and support services.
Four Directions Restorative Justice $55,600 over one year to support the Aboriginal restorative justice program as it reviews the current management structure for future service delivery.
Grand Valley Trails Association $80,000 over 18 months to develop a five-year strategic plan and a well managed implementation strategy that will increase this Waterloo organization’s volunteer strength and provide a valuable model for other trail associations.
Guelph Arts Council $87,200 over 18 months to purchase equipment, cover program costs and develop funding partnership strategies in order to generate arts awareness and raise the profile of the arts council in the community.
Guelph Marlin Aquatic Club $57,000 over six months to purchase a new timing system, which will support children, youth and adults participating in swimming and enable them to measure increases in their skill and physical activity levels.
Kitchener Professional Firefighters Memorial Committee c/o K-W Civitan Club $40,100 over one year to purchase and place new educational theme oriented and accessible playground equipment in the Civic Centre Park in Kitchener in order to increase physical activity amongst children.
Lions Park Junior Playground c/o Woolwich Community Lions Club $43,400 over eight months to purchase and install junior playground equipment in this Woolwich park, which will benefit children and families in the broader community by encouraging more physical activity and greater use of the park.
Mennonite Coalition for Refugee Support $38,600 over one year for a broad-based organizational review and strategic planning process to clarify roles, responsibilities and strategic directions for a newly incorporated refugee support program in Kitchener.
Old Mount Forest Post Office c/o Mount Forest Heritage Society $61,400 over one year to renovate a section of the old Mount Forest Post Office, which will be used by school children and community members to learn about the history of the local area.
Safe Communities on the Grand c/o Safe Communities Foundation $194,700 over three years to purchase equipment and cover program costs for the newly merged organization to offer educational and work safety programs, which will reduce the emotional and economic costs of injury in the Kitchener community.
Victoria Park Tennis Club $27,000 over one year to re-surface and install new posts on three tennis courts in order to benefit 392 members and enable continued free use by secondary school students and the community in Cambridge.
Volunteer Centre of Guelph/Wellington $164,000 over three years to design and implement a comprehensive, self sustaining organizational development training and consultation initiative that will increase the capacity and resilience of local not-for-profit organizations.

African-Canadian Association of Waterloo Region and Area $10,000 over eight months to support the development of volunteer policies and procedures in order to build the capacity of the organization to develop programs and services to meet the needs of African-Canadian youth.
Alliance for Children and Youth of Waterloo Region c/o United Way of Kitchener Waterloo and Area $12,000 over nine months to develop a comprehensive three-year business plan for the collaborative and an evaluation framework that specifies community-based outcome measures.
Arthur Curling Club $71,800 over one year towards the overall cost of completing accessibility renovations to the curling club. This will increase opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in community events and recreation programs.
Business & Education Partnership of Waterloo Region $10,000 over six months to expand the Careers – A Journey Through Technology Program, which will provide career mentorship opportunities to over 420 youth through partnerships with retired seniors.
Catholic Family Counselling Centre (Region of Waterloo) $82,000 over 18 months to strengthen and enhance the volunteer capacity of the organization, which will lead to increased levels of service provided to the community.
The Corporation of the Township of Wilmot $53,800 over one year to purchase new turf maintenance equipment, which will help repair and maintain six ball diamonds used by more than 250 area children and youth who play minor baseball each year.
Family and Children's Services of the Waterloo Region $88,100 over 18 months to implement an educational services program, which will help provide the resources needed to assist with educational placement of children in care.
Friends For Life c/o Brain Injury Association Waterloo-Wellington $44,500 over 18 months to promote and continue the music program for people with brain injuries and/or physical disabilities and create a program delivery model for future integration into the community.
Guelph Youth Singers $52,500 over two years for the administrative resources to support the organization’s revenue-building potential, refresh its profile and strengthen volunteerism in the community.
Headwaters Arts Festival $28,200 over 18 months to strengthen this festival's infrastructure, develop strategic directions and build upon its successes and partnerships. (An additional grant of $28,100 from Halton-Peel will support this activity.)
Hopewell Children's Homes $34,000 over six months to provide equipment for a new Playsense Activity Centre, providing children with developmental disabilities in the Guelph and Wellington area with a safe and fully accessible play space that encourages them to explore and grow.
K-W Badminton Club Inc. $75,000 over six months towards building upgrades to enhance the playing comfort and safety of the club, which will encourage more people to join and play badminton.
Kitchener's Urban Natural Area Stewardship & Education Collaborative c/o Kitchener-Waterloo Field Naturalists $51,000 over two years towards the public education and stewardship program for urban natural areas in the City of Kitchener.
Kitchener-Waterloo Access-Ability $27,800 over one year to develop a mentoring program to support seniors, adults and children with disabilities.
The Kiwanis Club of Kitchener-Waterloo $11,000 over one year to purchase a music festival management system in order to strengthen the operations of the annual Kiwanis Music Festival.
The Mental Health and Wellness Network c/o Community Mental Health Clinic $55,600 over two years to design and implement TAMI (Talking About Mental Illness), a mental- health learning experience for Waterloo Region adolescent students and the adults in their lives, helping to decrease the stigma of mental health illness.
The Multicultural Theatre Space (The MT Space) Inc. $97,200 over 18 months for a newly created and multicultural arts organization in Kitchener-Waterloo to showcase theatre and provide a way for new Canadians, immigrants and all citizens to explore and experience different cultures and traditions.
One by One We Get Along Bullying Prevention Group c/o John Howard Society of Waterloo-Wellington $141,900 over three years to implement and measure a comprehensive, school-wide bullying program for Grades 1 to 3 in Guelph and Wellington County.
Orangeville Chapter of Sweet Adelines International $13,000 over six months for equipment that will increase the quality of performances and enable seniors in long-term care facilities to benefit from free community performances.
Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics $44,900 for interactive displays for Physica Fantastica, a program for over 1,000 youth to access free open house educational programs in Waterloo and a component of the larger science festival EinsteinFest 2005.
Rainbow Programmes For Children $13,600 over one year to purchase marketing equipment, which will enable the organization to implement their outreach and fundraising plans and increase the number of children participating in their Guelph-area summer day camp programs.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 229, Elora $42,700 over one year to replace the boiler and air conditioning unit, which will assist the organization to maintain this building for use by a large number of community groups.
Theatre Orangeville $52,000 over two years to design and implement a marketing and development plan to increase subscriptions and donations to this community theatre organization.
Township of Wellington North $75,000 over six months for upgrades to the change house, benefiting children and youth who participate in swimming, hockey and skating programs in Arthur.
Trees for Guelph $80,000 over two years to enable the organization to build upon the industry tree-planting model to improve air quality and strengthen the community education-awareness program with local neighbourhoods and schools in Guelph.
The Upper Grand Trailway Association $48,400 over one year for the installation of a bridge over the Boyne Creek in Grand Valley, in order to expand this recreational trail way to 10.5 kilometres, which will benefit over 480 trail users per day.
Waterloo Community Arts Centre $98,300 over 30 months to support the development of new programs and expansion of the arts into under-serviced areas in order to increase participation in artistic ventures.
Wellington County Library Board $25,600 over one year for automatic door openers at four county library branches to enable libraries to be fully accessible to all patrons.
West Credit Appreciation, Rehabilitation and Enhancement Project (WeCARE) c/o Credit Valley Conservation $61,900 over 30 months to protect and enhance the health of the West Credit River watershed. (An additional grant of $61,900 from Halton-Peel will support this activity.)
