Alternative Land Use Services - Partnership Advisory Committee (ALUS-PAC) c/o Long Point Foundation for Conservation $50,000 over two years for five liaison positions. These will work with 380 local farmers to test the Alternative Land Use Services model in Norfolk County.
Big Brothers & Big Sisters Association of Haldimand-Norfolk Inc. $45,700 over 18 months for program costs and co-ordinators, to increase mentoring opportunities for teens in Haldimand and Norfolk. This initiative will enable them to participate in programs that build self-esteem and promote active living.
Black Cap Players Music and Mime Troupe $1,500 over one year to retrofit a trailer to store and transport this Simcoe group's equipment and props to various venues in Southern Ontario. The troupe offers opportunities for people with disabilities to perform in music and mime shows.
Brant Curling Club Inc. $45,000 over one year to replace the facility’s chiller, compressor and piping. Improvements will help maintain curling programs for more than 500 members and provide physical education programs and community curling leagues in Brant County.
Brant Museums and Gallery Association c/o Brant Historical Society $14,400 over one year to purchase equipment for environmental monitoring, exhibit development and emergency preparedness. Ten museum and galleries in Brant County and Six Nations will be able to better preserve artifacts and respond to emergencies.
Brantford Aquatic Club $9,400 over one year to purchase competitive swimming and exercise equipment to reduce the potential for injury. The equipment will enhance the skills of more than 125 children and young athletes who are members of the aquatic club in Brant County.
Brantford Minor Softball Association $14,800 over one year to purchase equipment that will improve safety and encourage the continued participation of more than 500 children and youth in the sport of softball in Brantford.
Brantford's Canada Day Festival $29,400 over 16 months for the skills and program costs to build the financial sustainability and volunteer base of local festivals in Brantford and Brant County. This will provide economic benefit and low-cost entertainment for the community.
Caledonia Lawn Bowling Club c/o Ontario Lawn Bowls Association $12,700 over one year to replace perimeter boards and level the grounds and patio stones, helping to maintain a safer, high-quality facility so Caledonia community members can continue to participate in the sport of lawn bowling.
Canadian National Institute of the Blind Brantford Division c/o Canadian National Institute for the Blind - Ontario Division $10,000 over one year for equipment and resource materials to conduct outreach and train parents and service providers. This will enable them to support an early intervention and learning program for children who are blind or visually impaired.
Dunnville Lawn Bowling Club $4,600 over one year to replace the shingles on the clubhouse roof and purchase lawn bowling equipment, helping to maintain access to lawn bowling for residents of the Dunnville area.
Family Counselling Centre of Brant $10,000 over one year to develop a business plan for the organization's employee assistance program in order to expand services and meet the needs of workers and their families in Brant County.
Family Literacy Project c/o Kids Can Fly, Early Child Development and Parenting Support $7,500 over eight months to host a one-day conference and public keynote address aimed at educators, students and parents in the Brantford area, helping to enhance family involvement in early literacy development.
Girl Guides of Canada - Niagara Area $9,900 over one year to help repair the walls of the kitchen at the Girl Guides’ Camp Teka near Paris, helping to create a safer space for outdoor camping activities for the many girls in the region who use the facility.
Grand River Gymmies Inc. $15,000 over one year to create a new weight training fitness program for youth in Caledonia and the surrounding area. The program will provide more opportunities for young people to increase their level of physical activity and fitness.
Haldimand Youth Soccer Club Inc. $15,000 over one year toward the cost of a commercial lawn mower, which will be used to more efficiently maintain Caledonia’s soccer fields for the 800 children who use them.
Kinsmen Club of Delhi $75,000 over one year to restore the Quance Mill, which will provide an attraction and learning centre for schools and bus tours, while enhancing opportunities for cultural tourism in Delhi.
Long Point Basin Land Trust $71,500 over two years to attract and train volunteers, raise public awareness and engage new funding sources. This will help build the group’s ability to protect and restore ecosystems in a region with the highest level of biodiversity in Canada.
Old Town Hall Association & Town Hall Kids c/o Old Town Hall Association $9,000 over six months to enhance a local youth theatre arts program in Waterford through the purchase of sound and lighting equipment.
Port Dover Skating Club $10,800 over one year for coaching, training materials and a workshop to develop new programming for adults. This will help address the area’s changing demographics and market for recreational skating.
Robert Troughton Memorial Chapter c/o Canadian Council of the Blind - Ontario Division $45,600 over one year to develop and test four training and skill development programs and to build partnerships with the business sector. This will help to increase employability skills for people in Brantford who are blind or have limited vision.
The Royal Canadian Legion Telephone City (Ont. No. 90) Branch $45,000 over one year to replace the roof and roof air conditioners in this Brantford building. Improvements will help to maintain it as a safe space for club meetings, charitable events and general use by the community.
Selkirk Centennial Community Hall Corporation $15,000 over one year toward the cost of replacing the original windows and doors with energy efficient models, which will result in reduced operating expenses for this well-used community centre.
Why Not City Missions Brantford $25,000 over one year to obtain skills that will help the organization develop and build its infrastructure, so it can maintain and improve the services it provides to youth at risk.

Boys and Girls Club of Brantford $45,000 over eight months toward the cost of replacing an aging passenger vehicle, so that the club can continue to provide safe transportation for children and youth to and from physical and recreational programs.
Brantford Symphony Orchestra Association Inc. $52,400 over two years to help with operating costs while it implements its sustainability plan and increases its community profile and number of public performances.
Canada's First Forestry Station St. Williams Interpretive Centre c/o Port Rowan/South Walsingham Heritage Association $52,500 over one year to increase opportunities for students in Norfolk County to experience hands-on learning in a wide variety of subjects linked to the history of Canada's first forestry station.
Community Builders $48,300 over one year to expand a youth leadership training program in six Brantford schools, helping to make the schools more caring and inclusive and engaging youth in addressing the problem of bullying and harassment.
DIVA c/o Nova Vita Women's Shelter Incorporated $67,100 over one year to implement a domestic-violence public-awareness campaign in Brantford, which will improve community safety by providing friends, neighbours and families with the tools to speak out and take action against family violence.
Kids Can Fly, Early Child Development and Parenting Support $42,200 over one year to expand Roots of Empathy, an innovative anti-bullying and character-building program for elementary school children in Brant, Brantford, Haldimand and Norfolk.
Mental Health Awareness Committee of Brant c/o Canadian Mental Health Association, Brant County Branch $4,000 over one year to facilitate a community-consultation/needs-assessment on suicide prevention and outline recommendations for a co-ordinated response to improve suicide prevention services in Brant County. Norfolk Youth & Children Association $75,000 over one year to purchase a portable wheelchair lift and increase the association’s capacity to deliver children and adult wellness programming in Norfolk County with additional staff.
Operation Lift $19,500 over six months to purchase computer equipment, which will ensure the stability and management of all client data and booking systems for the wheel-transit program in the Brantford community.
Port Dover Board of Trade $25,000 over six months to provide accessible recreational space for people of all abilities in a parkette on Port Dover’s main street.
Sexual Assault Centre of Brant $29,200 over one year to build a support network for women aged 50 years and over by recruiting and training same-age volunteers. New counselling and support programs will be offered to address a gap in services for women in this age group.
Simcoe Rotary Friendship Festival Turkey Point Summerfest c/o Simcoe Christmas Panorama Inc. $71,000 over two years to strengthen the economic health of Norfolk County by enhancing the fundraising and volunteer management capacity of three local festivals.
Spreading the Word Together c/o Literacy Link South Central $43,200 over 18 months to increase access to literacy programs for clients of employment and social service agencies in Haldimand, Norfolk, Brant and Brantford. Front-line staff will be trained in literacy awareness and writing.

Brant Alcove Rehabilitation Services $14,300 over six months to purchase equipment and increase recreational and physical fitness opportunities for children in the care of children's aid societies who live at three group homes in Brantford and Jarvis.
Brantford Pipes and Drums $25,000 over one year to maintain opportunities for local residents to enjoy high-quality pipe band performances by assisting with the purchase of uniforms and equipment for this recently started band.
Building Bridges For Youth (Haldimand-Brant) $23,000 over six months to provide rural youth with sustainable transportation that will enable them to attend after-school programming and summer camps located in Dunnville.
Burford Pastoral Charge $8,100 over one year to provide furnishings for the use of community groups and a day nursery co-op at this church that is being rebuilt in Burford.
The Children's Safety Village of Brant $70,000 over two years to assist with raising an endowment fund, which will be used to help ensure the long-term sustainability of the safety village so that its high-quality, hands-on children’s safety training can be maintained.
Community Protocol to Protect Infants Living in At-Risk Environment c/o Children's Aid Society of Brant $34,000 over one year to enhance the capacity of local agencies to identify and protect infants living in at-risk environments.
Etonia United Church c/o Princeton Pastoral Charge $9,000 over one year for capital upgrades to the community hall including roof reshingling, accessibility upgrades and replacement of the kitchen floor. (An additional grant of $9,000 from Thames Valley will support this initiative.)
Haldimand Girl's Hockey Association (HGHA) $45,000 over one year to create a girls’ hockey association in Haldimand County, reducing barriers and improve access for girls to the sport.
Norfolk Hammerheads Aquatic Club $35,000 over one year to provide the only swimming club in Norfolk County with the equipment necessary to increase the quality of training and safety for swimmers.
Participation House of Brantford $35,600 over one year to increase opportunities for adults with physical disabilities to participate in the Brant County community.
St. James United Church $75,000 over one year to increase accessibility of Hambleton Hall in Simcoe, enabling people with disabilities to more easily take part in its wide range of recreational and social services.
St. Leonard's Society of Brant $29,300 over one year to purchase a van and transport youth to the employment, justice, addictions and mental health programs offered at the new Youth Action Centre in Brantford.
Taquanyah - A New View Collaborative c/o Ducks Unlimited Canada $75,000 over six months to create seasonal wetland areas that will improve habitat diversity at the Taquanyah Conservation Area and Nature Centre near Cayuga.
Wraparound Brant c/o Woodview Children's Centre $60,000 over two years to enhance Wraparound Brant's capacity to support families with complex needs through the development of a strong volunteer base.
