Beaten Path Nordic Ski Club
$14,700 over one year to purchase a snow machine that will be used to maintain and groom 50 kilometres of Nordic ski trails, helping to increase membership and volunteers in this Atikokan-area club.

Catholic Family Development Centre
$12,000 over one year for computer equipment and furniture, helping to increase the organization’s efficiency in providing continued non-denominational counselling and therapeutic programs for individuals and families in Thunder Bay.

Centre des femmes francophones du Nord-Ouest de l'Ontario
$15,000 over one year to purchase computer equipment for staff, client and volunteer use in its Thunder Bay, Geraldton and Marathon offices. This will help provide better French-language services to women who are victims of violence and abuse.

City of Dryden
$14,300 over one year to install a new barrier-free circulation desk in the library, providing an appropriate counter height for people with disabilities. It will also ensure better accessibility for all patrons in the community.

Community Living Thunder Bay
$69,000 over two years for the start-up of a small business venture. A pet bakery will be launched that trains and employs adults with developmental disabilities, providing them with work experience and the skills to actively run a small business.

Drug Awareness Committee of Thunder Bay
$46,500 over three years to support the Natural Helper Peer Mentor Program for high-school youth. The program will provide training so they can assist their peers in dealing with substance abuse issues.

Iskatewizaagegan Independent First Nation #39
$15,000 over one year for computer and activity equipment for the youth centre. This will help to increase recreational and leisure opportunities for young people in this community in the Shoal Lake area.

Keewatin Curling Club
$36,500 over one year to repair the roof of the facility, enabling it to continue providing curling programs and activities for people of all ages in the community.

Lakehead Social Planning Council
$75,000 over one year to renovate the expanded community resource centre in Thunder Bay. This will improve its efficiency, make it accessible to people of all abilities and enable it to be used for the 211 Call Centre public information service.

Leadership Thunder Bay
$15,000 over one year to implement a communications and marketing strategy that will increase community awareness and the participation of volunteers and sponsors in the leadership development program.

The Marathon Cross Country Ski Club
$10,500 over one year to purchase cross-country ski equipment for the club. The equipment will help provide low-cost equipment rental services that will encourage greater participation by children and families in the sport. 

Northwestern Ontario FASD Collaborative c/o Wassay Gezhig Na Nahn Dah We Igamig Health Access Centre
$75,000 over one year for a sustainable service delivery model for providing Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder services in the Treaty #3 and Treaty #9 regions. This will increase early diagnosis, intervention and treatment for children and families.

Ojibways of Onigaming First Nation
$15,000 over one year for furniture, appliances and equipment to offer a head-start program for pre-school children and their families in the Nestor Falls area. This will encourage a desire to learn while focusing on traditional culture and language.

Royal Canadian Legion, Robert Frost Branch 133
$54,900 over one year for accessibility and safety renovations to the facility that will enable this Geraldton branch to continue providing programs and services in this small, rural community.

Terrace Bay Superior Seniors Club
$13,800 over one year to conduct a feasibility study concerning the development of a centre for health, wellness, social programs and activities for seniors in the community.

Thunder Bay Gymnastics Association
$13,000 over one year to purchase new equipment that will help increase safety and encourage the participation of children and youth in recreation and competitive gymnastics programs.

United Way of Thunder Bay
$74,000 over one year to build the capacity of the Simpson/Ogden neighbourhood action committee so that it can continue community planning processes and provide community events in this economically challenged neighbourhood.

Web-Equay Mamo-No-Kii-Win (Webequie's Women's Group)
$38,000 over one year to design and implement a Home Together curfew program that engages the community in addressing issues of youth violence and suicide in this First Nation community.

Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay
$129,000 over three years to establish an early warning signs project and build the organization’s capacity to continue providing programs and services for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families in Thunder Bay and district.

Community Arts & Heritage Education Project
$115,000 over two years to implement arts and heritage education programming for children and youth at risk. The project will use a collaborative partnership model with 12 community organizations and conduct outreach to other interested communities. (An additional grant of $38,000 in OTF’s Province-Wide Program will support this initiative.)

Community Mental Health Support Services of the Kenora Association for Community Living
$45,000 over 18 months to reduce barriers and provide recreation and fitness opportunities for low-income seniors and people with developmental and mental health disabilities.

Les Copains de Nakina
$40,800 for renovations that will make the club accessible and enable it to continue providing Francophone and bilingual programs and services in this small, rural community.

Dryden Youth Soccer Club
$75,000 over one year to develop new soccer pitches for a rapidly growing youth and children's soccer program.

Ear Falls 2000 Healthy Community Program
$12,000 over one year to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to participate in a visual arts experience in this small, rural community.

Fort Frances Curling Club
$15,000 over one year for renovations to the facility, enabling the club to continue providing curling activities for people of all ages.

Fort Frances Visserettes and Boys Gymnastics Club
$32,000 over one year to strengthen the capacity of the organization by expanding its marketing and increasing participation in the sport of gymnastics in the community.

Mount Evergreen Ski Club
$58,300 over one year to develop a learn-to-ski program, which will increase the participation of children and youth from Kenora in the sport of alpine skiing.

Skills and Trades Expo c/o The Northwest Training and Adjustment Board
$24,400 over one year to increase community awareness and participation in skilled-trades employment opportunities for students, un-employed and under-employed workers in the Kenora/Rainy River area.

Thunder Bay Good Food Box c/o Northwestern Ontario Women's Centre
$103,300 over three years to enhance the capacity of the organization to promote nutritional health, support a local food system and improve food security for families and low-income seniors in Thunder Bay.

Casque Isles Hiking Trail Project c/o Corporation of the Township of Terrace Bay
$24,500 over one year for improvements to the 52-kilometre hiking trail, which provides recreational opportunities for residents and tourists.

Centre culturel francophone de Geraldton
$75,000 over six months for roof repairs and interior hall renovations at the centre, which will allow the organization to continue providing a well-maintained facility for community use.

Corporation of the Township of Emo
$13,000 over one year to purchase and install new shelving for the library, which will create spacious, safer and barrier-free access to resources for all patrons.

Geraldton Concert Series
$45,000 over one year to purchase sound and lighting equipment, which will enable the group to continue providing quality arts performances in the community for people of all ages and abilities.

Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation
$44,500 over two years to increase the effectiveness of volunteers and broaden community engagement in the foundation, particularly among youth.

Kids & Company Fort Frances Family Performing Artists Series
$4,800 to recruit and train volunteers and increase access to children’s arts programming in the community.

Lake of the Woods Aero Modelers
$22,200 over six months to create safer and barrier-free parking and access to a model-airplane-flying field for all members of the Kenora-area community.

Lakehead Canoe Club
$32,000 over one year to renovate the paddlesport centre and purchase equipment, helping to increase training and leadership development for volunteers and athletes in the Thunder Bay area.

Northwestern Ontario Crime Stoppers Inc.
$45,000 over three years to deliver leadership training to culturally diverse volunteers and expand the crime stoppers program to remote First Nation communities. This will enhance the presence and effectiveness of the program throughout the region.

Shelter House/Thunder Bay
$115,000 over two years to increase the capacity of the organization that provides emergency shelter, food and clothing services to men, women, youth and families who are homeless in the community.

St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church
$75,000 over one year for accessibility renovations to the facility that operates a soup-kitchen service and provides daily meals to people in need in Thunder Bay.

Thunder Bay Blues Society
$18,900 over one year to market, promote and expand the Blues In The Schools program. This will help increase the participation of elementary and secondary school students at blues concerts.
