OTF volunteer recognized with Ontario’s highest distinction

Order of Ontario medal
Congratulations to OTF Paul-François Sylvestre on being invested in the Order of Ontario by the Hon. David Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, at Queen's Park, on January 24, 2008. Paul-François, a volunteer with the Toronto Grant Review Team, is among 27 outstanding Ontarians who are celebrated for reaching the highest individual excellence in their fields.

Since 2005, OTF has benefited from the unique expertise Paul-François has brought to OTF work in his community. We are happy that he is being recognized for his exemplary accomplishments and grateful for his contributions to OTF and the not-for-profit sector in Ontario.

Paul-François is being recognized for his many accomplishments. He is a prolific author of novels, historical essays, short stories, poetry and educational materials. A columnist with two Toronto French-language newspapers, he has been a mentor for new talent and an active leader in the development of Franco-Ontarian literature and thought. Paul-François is also a founding member of the Association des auteures et auteurs de l’Ontario français.

The Order of Ontario was created in 1986 to "recognize Ontario residents who have achieved the highest individual excellence and achievement in any field".
