Technical
Often, OTF must decline funding applications for reasons that have nothing to do with the merits of the proposal itself. These generally relate to how the application was prepared, the nature of the applying organization or the rules by which OTF allocates funding.
1. Some of the reasons for technical declines are:
- Application was received after the deadline for submission;
- Application did not include the necessary audited financial statements that are required for organizations with revenue over $250,000 per year. (as directed on our Application Forms);
- Application did not provide all the information we need to reach an informed decision. (Please review your submission against our Application Forms and accompanying checklist.);
- The organization is already receiving OTF funding. The Foundation can only support one grant to a single organization at a time;
- The group or organization does not meet the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s guidelines for eligibility;
- For more examples of what OTF will not fund, please visit page 7 of the Standard Program Guidelines.
