At the opening ceremonies at Olmsted Beach for the annual North Bay Dragon Boat Festival, Monique Smith, MPP (Nipissing), announced that the club had received a $22,800 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Ms. Smith and Joe Lynch, GRT Member, were joined by Lachlan McLachlan, the North Bay Town Crier, to present Commodore Bernie Vierich with a plaque from the Foundation.
